Nice overall, but desperately in need of an update
Pros:

We're currently staying here for the weekend, and I rented a cabana yesterday to enjoy the "heated, all-season pool". The website advertises that direct booking gets you first dibs at renting a cabana, but they simply send you to ResortPass, which all the Spring Breakers had already booked with... So the pool was VERY crowded.

The pool was NOT heated, and because it's only in the sun for a few hours each day, the water is much too cold. Maybe this is better in the summer, but why advertise that it's heated if it's not?

Service was good, but the drink I ordered came half full, and the fries were undercooked.

The cabana itself is SAD. The furniture is worn out and very dirty, with old stains and bird crap that has clearly been there a while. There's no trash can, and no amenities besides a TV and bottled water. The couch cushions were gross, and I wished I had scoped the cabanas out before dropping a hundred bucks (+ food) on a very sub-par afternoon.

I'll update more about the hotel itself after we check out.

Pros:

Room was amazing, so comfortable and spacious with everything you'd need including toiletries that were really nice. Really good coffee machine in the room and also a great cafe downstairs. The staff here were incredible and we got to borrow bikes to ride along the river - the location is excellent if you want to be able to enjoy the nature of Austin by the river as well as downtown.

Cons:

There was building work outside unfortunately which meant there was noise starting in the morning. The pool was also closed and we weren't informed of this - as we had booked a place specifically to include a pool for our honeymoon this was really disappointing.

Some good but a lot of problems
Pros:

A mixed bag. We appreciated the hotel giving us a room on a high floor with a decent view. And breakfast in Geraldine's was pretty sublime.

Other issues though distracted from our ability to have a stress free getaway. We made reservations online which showed confirmed at the end of the process. But when we called the hotel they said we had no reservation. The internal tech issue took a full day to resolve.

The valet service ($62 a night) was a mess. Car would arrive at a completely different location than where they told us to wait for it. Once they could not find our car at all, making us 15 minutes late for our dinner reservation.

Then there was the bill, which inexplicably contains multiple small tax amounts on the same day for the same tax.

All that, plus a steady torrent of unwanted texts from the hotel (until I insisted they turn them off) made this a less than great stay.
