After the initial setback and we will move to the room that we actually asked for it was a great facility

I booked a pool view room and they put me up aside overlooking the road and you actually had to lean your head out to see the pool so I complained and said this isn't what I paid for and they moved me to a pool view room after an 1 hour .I feel they need to learn what a pool view room is because that's what people obviously pay for and I also believe when you've had a long flight that's the last thing you should be having to be worried about in the heat is trying to explain what a pool view room they took me to 3 other rooms which had big trees overgrown and still wasn't a pool view room thank God on the third room. I said yes this is exactly what people pay for when they're paying for a pool view room.

Skip this one there are better properties in the area and this is not up to Mercure standards.
Pros:

Our whole experience was ruined by the reservation and senior staff.

Cons:

We had booked a specific room six months in advance which was acknowledged by the reservation staff. Upon checking in we were given a completely wrong room and then made to wait hours while a room similar to the one booked was put back together. The front end manager was arrogant in the extreme. The head manger promised a 1 night accommodation refund in compensation, that did not eventuate.

Once a year ladies trip
Pros:

The Aqua Aerobics was a great attribute to the hotel the staff running these sessions were great fun and very knowledgeable able to. The staff in the restaurant and the cleaning Crew were helpful, happy and professional at all times.

Cons:

The pool area needs an up grade and the towels need to be changed, there are no real areas that are useable if you have bad weather as we did for four days.The bar area near the pool was not clean early in the morning until the staff arrive around 11am. The view of a run down property in front of the upper pool area is off putting. Not offering. Nice coffee at breakfast was disappointing, it would be nice to get a free cappuccino or flat white without charge. The path ways in Legian need upgrading to ensure the tourist and locals do not get hurt.
