Amazing countryside hotel.
Pros:

What an amazing place in a stunning rural location. We loved all of the charming old features in side of the hotel. What a grand place to stay. Our room was comfortable, clean and spacious with a nice ensuite. All of the staff were exceptional in their roles. They were friendly, helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Dinner and breakfast were both really enjoyable with a decent choice of food available. We really enjoyed our stay and will look forward to returning soon.

Perfect staff and great hotel.
Pros:

I booked it for my son doing the coast to coast and he needed a break due to the extreme heat we are having. They helped him massively, with sun cream and helping him with a lift to the nearby town! Massive Thank you!

Welcoming staff, comfy rooms and a good price.
Pros:

We have used this hotel as a stop off on our holidays from Edinburgh to the South and back quite a few times. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Fabulous stopover point

Cons:

Would have liked to see the red squirrels again, but nature prevails.

Broke journey home from north Scotland so very well placed.Stayed before will stay again
Pros:

Evening meal and breafast were great no complaints

Cons:

Lift was out of order so had to use stairs, no problem but Ilive in a bungalow so not used to stairs still I managed.

Perfect location for our needs.

Cons:

I have been using this hotel for a few years and it now needs lots of love and investment, wishing the new owners lots of luck and happy times ahead.
Some things l would expect at a hotel at this price point, and hopefully you may consider them.
Some bottles of water in the room.
A multi choice coffee machine in the main hotel as sachet/ instant coffee isn't appealing if staying more than one night.
