Room was comfy enough. Just the correct size. The free drinks in the fridge were a bonus. Was weird having water from a carton but waters water so can't complain. Easy check in and check out. Breakfast was a 6/10. Bacon was over cooked and fried egg had sat to long but rest was perfect.

I have been in Mercure hotel in Budapest, Debrecen and in Vienna.
Every it was wonderful but unfortunately Mercure hotel in Edinburgh was Very disappointing to say the least. Starting with receiving the room, we first received a room with mold and dampness. After complaining to the reception, we received a room two hours later on the minus one floor, which according to the reception representative, the minus one floor is on a hill. Upon entering the room, we received a stuffy room, and as soon as you open the window, there is a concrete wall in front of you. It is important to note that there was broken glass at the entrance to the room, and I did not feel that I had to complain so that I would not receive a room on the minus two floor.
Great location and room is a good size.
Cold rooms and only option is to be given a small fan heater. Suggestion that the heating was working but control was flashing with error and it felt cold for the entire 2 night stay.
