The room was nice and clean but the bathroom had a strong mould smell. Not the best location if you only want to walk around Edinburgh.

+ W pokoju było czysto, wydawał się też dobrze wygłuszony bo nie słyszeliśmy innych gości
+ Po wymeldowaniu bez problemu można było na parę godzin zostawić bagaż do przechowania
- Śniadania były bardzo rozczarowujące - niezbyt duży wybór, mało warzyw
The Hotel is a standard Mercure facility, conveniently located to Haymarket Train/Bus and Tram stops (10 mins walk) and to Old/New Town (about 20 mins walk). Rooms were spacious, tidy and clean. Breaksfast has the typical Scottish style in a self-serve fashion, however a good selection of hot/cold dishes plus pastries is also available. The staff were professional, however not as friendly as I found in other locations.
The room bathroom did not have any AC inlets, so no chance to plug in a shaver or the provided hair-dryer (you would have to step out of the bathroom to plug it and dry your hair). There was no toilet brush.
However, the most annoying thing was the bed linen: even if it was full summer, there was only a very thick duvet which made sleeping very uncomfortable (too warm) so we did not have a good night sleep.
The male staff member who assisted me with check-in was exceptionally kind and helpful. I was also able to check in earlier than expected, which I greatly appreciated. All of the other staff members were friendly and provided excellent service as well. In particular, the gentleman who handled my check-in was truly outstanding and made a great impression.

La posizione è buona, non in centro, ma ben collegata anche con l aeroporto e la zona è tranquilla.
Il Wi-Fi non funziona bene, soprattutto la sera, la linea non regge.
A colazione le cose che vengono finite non vengono rifornite e se non si arriva presto il buffet rimane molto disordinato (e in media ci sono 4 camerieri).
Trovo che il costo sia elevato rispetto alla qualità offerta.

Staff were friendly and was walkable to the venue we were visiting
The room was not cleaned due to a mix up at reception so on arrival we walked into a dirty unmade room. The reception staff rectified this immediately by giving us a different room and were very apologetic but the new room still had a dirty toilet seat and was just a bit tired given how expensive it was. The breakfast buffet we attended at 9am and almost all the hot food was gone and took so long to replenish we didn't really get to eat what we wanted. The juice machine was also out of order.
Breakfast was delicious, hotel super comfy and quiet, lovely staff who were very friendly and kind. The hotel was a great base for exploring Edinburgh from and close walk to Haymarket tram.
