Pictures and reality dont match
Pros:

Dinner was good and the view / area is gorgeous

Cons:

Basically the rest.

- staff: appears stressed, largely untrained and unattentive
- rooms: look pretty on pictures but are cheaply equiped, cold, humid, and have an open bathroom
- overall facilities: again, lovely on pictures but they're not real. The hotel is somewhat run down, dirty and not well maintained (trail, sunbeds, humidity stains on wall, sunbathing plattform, dead bugs and spiderwebs inside, ...

The hotel got for some reason a Condé Nast recommendation and is highly praised. Not sure why.

O pequeno almoço

Cons:

Os quartos têm sinais de desgaste e já pedem algumas intervenções. O telefone do quarto não funcionava. Perguntámos se era possível fazer late check-out e foi-nos transmitido que tal não era possível. Quando deixamos o hotel vimos um casal a pedir late check out, o que foi imediatamente aceite. Também não gostámos particularmente que houvesse reuniões entre o gerente e os empregados dos quartos na sala de estar com os clientes a ouvir as conversas…

Fantástico para descansar e carregar baterias
Pros:

Localização, comodidades no meio da natureza.
Quarto óptimo com uma vista e varanda incrível.

Cons:

Aquando do check-in um cheiro muito forte a detergente/amoníaco no quarto. A piscina deveria ser aquecida e não estava muito limpa.

Pros:

A envolvência do hotel é bonita e bem cuidada, vista agradável do quarto. De resto, ficou tudo aquém.

Cons:

- HUMIDADE terrível, nunca vi nada assim. Nas frechas das janelas e ombreiras da porta caiam pingas de água, o que quer dizer que o isolamento era péssimo. A roupa que levamos ficou encharcada e a cheirar mal, assim como malas, bolsas etc.
- Tivemos sorte de ir numa altura onde havia poucos hóspedes, por isso estivemos alguns dias sem ninguém nos quartos ao lado. No entanto, assim que entraram pessoas OUVIA-SE absolutamente tudo dos quartos ao lado.
- Quartos não são iguais as fotografias e falta manutenção. Chão frio, desgastado e sem tapetes. Cadeiras da varanda sem almofadas. Falta brio. A piscina também não é tão grande como parece nas fotos. Atenção que também não há divisória entre quarto e casa de banho, inclusive na parte da sanita.
- No jantar só há uma opção de menu a 30 euros que limita imenso. O espaço das refeições também não é muito acolhedor, cadeiras e mesas brancas do Ikea.
- O campo de ténis não está utilizável, apenas o de padel.

Lovely setting. In nature.

Cons:

Access road very narrow with very few lay-bys to pull over into however when we went not very busy. There is a wall but no door between bathroom and bedroom.

An excellent retreat to recharge in the middle of nature with the family.
Pros:

The calm, serene atmosphere close to the Alentejo coast. The clean architecture and décor, well aligned with the surroundings. The excellent staff, always attentive and helpful throughout the stay. The nature trails suitable for children.

Cons:

The pool water is quite cold.
As a hotel that welcomes many families with young children, an additional lock on the doors would have been very useful, as my two-year-old son opened the room door several times and went outside.
There could be more options for meals and snacks.

Stop over on way back to Faro from Lisboa with our dogs to relax
Pros:

The location of and the arrangement were fantastic. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Really lovely. The concept of the hotel is great, also the space and layout. It even had a dog park for the dogs to have a good run. The walks around the land are beautiful. Breakfast was good. Totally relaxed spot. Great with our dogs.

Cons:

Our room was a bit dated/ damaged. Maybe from the recent storms and needed some attention. The room had a clinical smell that was a bit overpowering. The dog park whilst amazing, needed the ground clearing and gate fixing to be safe.
