Delightful room
Lovely views
Superb restaurant
Excellent gym and pool
Terrific friendly staff
Couldn't fault it at wouldn't change a thing.
Room was big and lovely, staff were really nice. Restaurant was quite expensive but lovely setting. Great location - ~5 min drive to Rye and ~20 to Cambersands. Also <5 min to Tillington winery which I'd really recommend.
Spa facilities were slightly dated and the steam room (I think) was out of the order sadly, but still great value and enjoyable.
Pretty country house with a nice indoor pool and not a bad gym for a hotel.
Rooms sparsely decorated, bit tired. We had a junior suite but it was two separate rooms and didn’t feel at all cosy. Felt expensive for what it was.
Very snug and quiet location, very welcoming and staff were fantastic and always happy to help!
There’s nothing I didn’t like
Very good. Food very good. Staff very Friendly and helpful
We had a room on the 2nd floor. No lift and I had a hip replacement problem which made the 32 stairs difficult
It’s a lovely old building with sympathetic modern additions. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was quiet and the bed was extremely comfortable.
The public parts of the hotel were in very good condition but our room was a little tired.
A beautiful property with lovely grounds
Great location. Beautiful gardens. Peaceful. Wonderful building.
Meintenance is falling apart. Front door and stairs are crumbling dangerously. Floors uneven in the older rooms. Furnishings - old fashioned. Staff - most of the younger staff was nice to a point but also clueless. Waiters did not have patience or a good mood for anyone.
Dinner was good,, and staff in the hotel was very pleasant.
Very much,, would definitely come again and recommend to friends
Lovely pool and gardens. Comfy bed. Great breakfast.
Room was a little bit tired. No air con. The gym was a little smaller.
Les salles publiques, le bâtiment, le jardin
La salle de bain en besoin de renouvellement
Everything. Relaxing. Great staff. Food fabulous.
Not enough plug sockets in the bedroom..
Swimming pool, parking, proximity to Rye, friendly staff
Quality of food, pricing of restaurant
Everything. Relaxing. Staff fantastic. Food great. Lounges restful. Fabulous hotel
Not enough plug sockets for hairdryer/ phone chargers/ straighteners.
It is value for money if you want a short break in the countryside with Rye 10 minutes drive. The pool is nice.
The spa facilities are very old. The sauna is next to the toilets and is falling apart. The door doesn’t shut so it’s not very hot and the wood is rotten.
Dinner was good, but my friend ordered the vegetarian option and it was a very small portion of aubergine (half an aubergine) without any rice, or side salad or anything to accompany it. It was tasty, but charged as a main course when it looked more like a starter.
Excellent hotel, nice and quiet.
Would be nice if they did more offers related to the spa treatments and hotel stays.
