Great location and comfortable stay especially if you want to do something in Gaslamp/at Petco, but allow extra time
Pros:

Rooms are nice spacious and comfortable however if you had a street facing room (our friends did) you could hear shenanigans at all hours.

Cons:

The elevator is slowest I have ever experienced

Convenient
Pros:

Room has decent space to move around. Bathroom is also spacious and well lit. Shower is good. Bed and pillows are comfortable.

Cons:

Carpet is old / dirty. Location is great, but because of where it is, it could be very loud outside until 3-4 am. If you are a deep sleeper, this shouldn't be a problem.
