Schöne Umgebung.

Cons:

Die Preise im Restaurant sind selbst für dortige Verhältnisse extrem hoch! Wir hatten glücklicherweise ein Auto und haben in der näheren Umgebung gut und wesentlich günstiger gegessen. Wir sind quer durch Costa Rica gereist und diese Unterkunft war mit Abstand die schlechteste. Die Unterkunft lockt mit Tierbegegnungen. Faktisch liegt Futter aus, welches von den Kapuzineraffen und Aras natürlich gerne genommen wird.

Très sympa, personnel très agréable. Les personnes à l'accueil et resto avaient bcp de travail et nus étions pas nombreux. Je ne me suis dit que ça serait bien que le propiétaire ait plus d'employeurs.

Paraíso para ver aves!
Pros:

La ubicación es excelente para ver aves y llegar a las playas y al ale que de Carara. La piscina es preciosa y el restaurante delicioso aunque un poco caro.

This a special spot!
Pros:

The young man who checked us in and out and also served our meals in the restaurant was so kind! The food was excellent too. The dining area with bird views is amazing and we loved the pool. We only stayed one night here to be closer to SJO for our flight the next afternoon but we would've loved to stay longer!! The other guests were mostly serious birders with big cameras but our kids were still welcomed.

An excellent place to stay and an excellent base to bird this part of Costa Rica.
Pros:

We were here for birding and the lodge was very "birdy." The room was very comfortable and the meals we had at the lodge were excellent. Being able to stay in the open dining area all day if you wanted to watching birds and wildlife was a real plus.

Cons:

Nothing was a disappointment! Hope to return soon.

Pros:

het personeel was heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. We waren reeds aanwezig voor check-in time en kregen onmiddellijk water aangeboden, konden plaatsnemen op het terras en gebruik maken van het zwembad. Het zwembad was ook heerlijk, het Italiaans restaurant was top en als kers op de taart kwamen er Scarlet Macaws en apen op de voederaar van het restaurant.

Hôtel au top mais propriétaires peu arrangeants, dommage
Pros:

Il y a plus d'animaux dans l'hôtel que dans les parcs (singes, iguanes, aras).
La piscine est top.
Le restaurant est délicieux.

Cons:

Les difficultés que j'ai eu pour avancer la date de mon arrivée d'une nuit alors qu'il y avait clairement de la place. Après 2 refus, ils ont finalement accepté, pour 9$ de plus.

Wonderful - from the staff, to the food and to the general vibe of the hotel.
Pros:

The food was delicious, the staff super friendly and helpful and the location was very relaxing with lots of parrots to be seen.

Cons:

It would have been helpful to know the toilet and shower were outside, in the open and not within the room.

Great lodge, great restaurant.
Pros:

Coming out of the mountains after 10d, I really dry forest environment of this lodge. The accommodations were good, A/C, good Wi-Fi. My room had the outside bathroom but this wasn’t an issue for me, it’s literally like an en-suite, all perfectly secure and really very pleasant.

The restaurant delivers amazing food. It’s incongruous to get world-class pizza in this setting but that’s what they deliver here! As well as other great options. Breakfast is also good, served from 6am, which is great for birders who want an early start! The views from the restaurant decking, across the forest and down to the pacific are stunning. Great sunsets.

Mooie ligging in de natuur, bijzonder klantvriendelijke medewerkers, maar weinig comfortabel
Pros:

Het hotel richt zich op vogels kijken. De geschakelde huisjes/kamers met badkamer zijn omringd door natuur met voederplanken. In de tuin zijn allerlei vogels (en andere dieren) te ontdekken. Een goed (niet goedkoop) italiaans restaurant dat tot 21u open is, wat handig is omdat het wat afgelegen ligt. De medewerkers waren uitzonderlijk hulpvaardig, vriendelijk en servicegericht en de communicatie verliep erg goed.

Cons:

De kamer bleek gedateerd en niet erg comfortabel. Ik kon alles van de buren horen en ik vond het bed niet lekker liggen. Voor deze prijs (110 dollar) verwacht ik een ander kwaliteitsnivo. Het ontbijtbuffet was wat magertjes qua aanbod. Groot terrein, dus risico op wat verder moeten lopen op een wandelpad van cement op een helling.
