Pros:

I stayed in the bigger room and it was quite nice. It had a mini fridge with a coffee maker, 2 cups, and 2 glasses of water. It had a flat screen tv, a sofa chair, hangers, and a laundry basket. The bed was quite comfy and the shower was great. The staff was incredibly nice and always helpful when I had questions. They also have someone on premises who will wash your clothes for 40 baht a kilo. The only negative was that there were a lot of ants at one point that kept trying to get on my bath towels, as well as the fact that there was no hand soap. I was able to purchase one from a corner store though.

A must stay for anyone training on the Soi
Pros:

Wow, what didn't I like! The location was incredible for anyone training on the Soi, within walking distance to all the fighting gyms including tiger Muay thai. Across the road from a vegan restaurant, as well as many others, the location really has something for everyone! The wifi was strong and incredible, I was able to easily join any zoom I needed to.

But my favourite part was the staff. They were so lovely, helpful and accommodating, they really made me feel welcomed! They were so understanding of anything I needed and were always happy to help. As a solo female traveller it was really important to me to stay in a safe and welcoming place and Siam Villa was the perfect place.

Perfect for Muay Thai training
Pros:

Very clean, friendly well kept hotel five minutes walk from tiger in a nice busy area. Staff are very helpful and smiley and lovely garden and pool. One little suggestion to try keep cats away because they kept coming into our room and were smelly. Other than that perfect

Real good value for price
Pros:

I stayed at Siam Villas for about a week. The price (900baht/night) is sort of lower middle what you can get on the street. Hotel has everything you need if your focus is training, including pool for relaxing. Many rooms in a small space means it can get a bit loud but really nothing to worry about, the rooster yelling all day and all night is far worse and i hope someone puts it out of its misery soon. The close proximity to neighbors also means good possibilities for meeting new people, often with the same interest for training as yourself. If i come back another month i will stay here.

Its ok for the area
Pros:

This place has 2 names and is more commonly known as siam villas.
If you google siam villas chaling you will get much more reviews and info.
Anyway it's not really a hostel at all. More a series of bungalow type rooms.
I remember when this place was new it was really great. Now many years later it isn't quite as fresh.
Still though it is much similar to other places on the street and I choose here because it's similar yet cheaper and has unlimited aircon unlike muay thai house.
I know 2 staff. Nok Yung very nice friendly and good English and the other girl a bit quiet or shy or unhappy or something.
Rooms very basic.
Grounds are pretty.
Pool ok.
Restaurant ok for a tea but better food options elsewhere on the street.
Motorcycle parking spots.
Good wifi.
Only thing i would say is to check your room before you agree as i have stayed in a few and some of them have windows that cant be locked or even closed properly. Break ins and thefts do happen on this street.
Other thing is multiple signs saying "no guests allowed for your security". Understandable if they are reffering to "joiners" but hopefully they dont stop you from seeing your mates if needed.

Muay Thai training camp in Phuket
Pros:

I stayed at this hotel for 9 nights whilst I was at a Muay Thai training camp. The staff were very helpful and offered tourist services. I had the standard room. I think it would be worth spending more for a better room - for simple things like a bedside light (!). It was clean and comfortable with a daily cleaning service. There was a fridge and a TV and air con.

They did double book my room and then misunderstood and sold my friend's room the same night but they offered us accommodation in another hotel opposite so although inconvenient it worked out fine.

The pool was small but adequate although we didn't use it as it wasn't cleaned so there was a film of dust. It wasn't awful and others used it but it wasn't very inviting.

It was fairly noisy as you could hear people in the room next door but the street itself is very quiet so other than neighbours on the phone or watching TV it was not too bad.

Overall, it was very good value for money and the service was good.

Gorgeous garden
Pros:

It’s a decent sized hut, the bathroom and beds where average enough for what you pay. The garden is beautiful and if you’re staying there for a few weeks to train in one of the gyms you could easily make it your home without all the luxuries

Good value for money
Pros:

Good place to stay, friendly staff clean and nice location on chalong street close to all gyms.
Food places also nearby and it seems to be pretty new. Would recommend it for short stays like a week or 10 days else you can find rentals by month on the street for more convenient prices I reckon.

Always stay here
Pros:

It a great location for all particularly for the boxing and fitness amenities of the this road - right bang in the middle of it. Convenient for town and around 20 mins away from the Kata beach which is not bad seeing the savings. Can pay nighty or monthly.

Can't complain
Pros:

it s good for the price. There is no minibar or free water.
Room service on every 2nd day.
3 min walk to tiger muay thai
The pool is small but clean.
Stuffs are friendly and nice.

It s good for what it charge since my priority is about training in tiger muay thai.

Very average
Pros:

A lot nicer than staying at Tiger Muay Thai, but very hard to sleep with bright lights on outside all night long. Money went missing from our room during one clean. The Wifi is crap - you're best to get a local SIM and just use 3G. The front desk lady is sassy as. Cleaning is hit and miss, and there are a lot of bugs. But it looks nice and the pool is pretty dece. Would recommend staying at Cocoville instead!

Couldn't be more helpful!
Pros:

As we had an issue with the hotel we had paid to stay in , we got a 50% refund an where brought here by one of the coaches from dragon muay thai , and she didn't charge extra for my girlfriend , an we got a bit of a discount (think they felt sorry for us) , the rooms are perfect for anyone training nearby , close enough to everything you need! Dragon is to the left , Phuket top team a bit further down past dragon , Tiger muay thai and unit 27 are to the right , there is numerous shops an places to eat along the road.
Rooms are fairly clean but basic!

Has promise, but works for Muay Thai
Pros:

This is an adequate place to stay for Muay Thai training, but the it needs better service to provide reasonable value for the money. It was very clean from the outside, so I was frankly expecting a bit more when I agreed to reserve a room, but ended up a bit disappointed.

Some suggestions:
1) provide an extra towel or two; one towel for your luxury room is not adequate.
2) provide a phone, since some of the rooms are not close by the mgmt office
3) keep the safe unlocked upon arrival
4) provide soap and basic shampoo/ conditioner
5) provide water
6) a reasonable English speaker should be available at all times in the lobby
7) optional- hire a young lad to help with bags. I feel uncomfortable with having an older lady carry my bags for me, so I wouldn't let her.

Regarding pricing, please realize the luxury/"VIP" rooms are about 1/2 as big as what other hotels are offering.

This property can easily be fixed with minimal investment, since the infrastructure is pretty good. I expect in a few months, things should hopefully look better.

Great/lovely staff!, nice vibe and very good value, not shabby.
Pros:

We (husband and I) stayed at Siam for 3 weeks as we were training at Tiger Muay Thai just down the road.
(which we are ever thankful that they suggested we stay here instead of on camp)

Really great staff all very friendly and helpful, the girls always have a smile and a hello for you. I tend to rant so i'll just list what i found.

-Legit friendly and helpful staff
-Great thorough/relaxing massage & sauna/spa services (fair prices from 300 baht, we got sports massages for around 600baht the sauna/spa service is around 150baht i think)
-Nice relaxing atmosphere
-great modern minimal noise air con
-Very clean rooms
-Nice pool
-The cleaning girls are always speedy but do a good job
-close to pharamcy/couple good cheap restaurants/general store/tiger and dragon
-The area itself is fairly safe (full of people training Muay thai) and easy to arrange taxi (fair rates too) for going to malls, tourist stuff.
-Wi-fi that always worked (apart from 2 times the entire stay it was down for about 5mins)even in the rooms.
-can use the pool anytime at night or before breakfast which is cool as where we are now we aren't allowed to :(
-close by is tony's or mamas to eat, floraville is super close too and not bad.

Its not 4/5 star resort but for around $300 AUD for 3 weeks you wouldn't expect that.

I wish i took photos of the rooms to show people but if you go here
http://www.phukethotels.com/phuket-siam-hostel.htm there are some plus i put a few up of the outside and spa.

When we come back to train again we will stay here. We are now staying in a 5 star lovely resort in Karon as a 'treat' for 6 days before we head back home but i find myself missing the cha-long area and laid backness.

Would super recommend for couples or people training at any of the near by gyms- families could probably stay too.

NOTE:The only thing is some may find the beds a bit hard but it didn't bother us.
Oh and the roosters in the morning wake up early! but that is perfect for getting to training or just making the most of your day :) if your tired nap in the afternoons its quiet.

I really appreciated the staff at Siam and often what makes a stay great is how you are treated by the people.

Thank you to Siam so much for a lovely place to rest our beaten up bodies :D and wish you guys all the best!
