They were so sweet, understanding and friendly! We had a great experience!
We stayed in the “Birch” room. There was a smell from a drain upon entering the room but it’s clear that housekeeping keeps the place spotless otherwise. In fact, we saw housekeeping turning mattresses and the like - excellent team! Maybe some Draino required? The room’s a good size, the bed comfy, gas fire warm and homely, TV has plenty of channels, and the rainfall shower hot and spacious. There’s a small balcony with chairs and a table. Slept well and room was quiet all night. Room could maybe do with some wee biscuits to accompany the coffee as well as pastries at the hotel’s morning coffee bar. Indoor pool, jacuzzi, and sauna all great. Check-in and out was quick and easy. Located next to Peninsula State Park and a short walk to Fish Creek’s shops.
Homestead Suites is a lovely Inn, we highly recommend! Very clean, quiet comfortable, and right by the entrance to Peninsula State Park. A short walk to downtown with fun shopping and great restaurants. Our favorite restaurants were Loft and Julie's Cafe. The staff was very friendly at Homestead Suites, and the room had every amenity we needed. We would definitely stay here again if in the area!
It was quiet, safe and walkable to restaurants and shops. I liked that they have free coffee and you can make your own coffee with different flavors. It can work more on cleanliness. There is no sink in the bathroom. But overall, our stay there was good and the staff was friendly and accommodating.
This place was old but kept up.
Great location
The room was clean. The staff was helpful. The pool and hot tube area is very nice. We enjoyed the coffee bar.
No
good value, comfortable stay
The room was clean. It was a little outdated. The housekeeping was very very nice and attentive.
Centrally located but a little overpriced.
We enjoyed our trip. It was our first time to the area and stayed st Homestead Suites. We started our morning with breakfast at Julie’s. You can’t go wrong eating here. Then we drove into the Peninsula State Park and climbed the tower and checked out the sights. Stopped at the Wild Tomato and ate a great pizza outside. After lunch we drove to the Edgewood Orchard Galleries. It was amazing, We wanted it all. The artist get 5 Stars++.We tried to take in a sunset, but Mother Nature didn’t cooperate. Still a very pretty view.
The next day we headed to White Gull Inn. Another amazing breakfast and the Inn is beautiful. Then off to Cana Island Lighthouse and yes we made it up all 97 stairs for the eye popping view. We had a great conversation with the gentleman taking care of the lighthouse. Started getting a little cloudy, so we stopped for lunch at the Bayside Tavern and a little shopping downtown. Our last day we took a drive to Sister Bay and stopped at Al Johnson’s Swedish Restaurant gift shop. We had to buy a baseball cap, Norwegian Flag or Uff Da, the flag won. Then drove up to watch the Ferry load and unload for the island. We had a great burger and fries at the Hill Street Bar. We had a wonderful time and recommend a visit.
We absolutely love staying at Homestead Suites. We have never stayed in the hotel. We always choose the guest house if it’s available. It is so cute, comfortable and has everything you need. The shower is awesome with two heads. The bed is very comfortable. It has a fireplace which we did not use this time because it was warm. It has a back porch for morning coffee or evening drinks. They have a coffee bar in the hotel which was very nice. We golfed and biked while we were here. Biking Peninsula State Park was right out our door. It was very quiet. We could walk to Fish Creek. Location is phenomenal!
We loved the location, so convenient for access to Peninsula State Park and downtown Fish Creek. Bike storage and the coffee bar were a nice convenience that we appreciated. Staff was friendly and the property was very clean. We would definitely stay here again.
Only there 1 night. Would have liked a king bed since that is what we are used to. Beds were so so for comfort. Had a little trouble regulating the temperature in room. Not terrible.
Very cozy!
Having stayed in many locations in Door County, we would definitely stay here agajn. Check in and check out were very easy and the staff was friendly. The room was clean with the typical amenities (microwave, refrigerator, hair dryer, etc. ). Our room had a balcony with a table and 2 chairs. It was very pleasant sitting outside and people watching.
Air conditioner was loud in the room and better pillows needed. Clean and very friendly staff.
clean room, friendly staff
Such a great stay and very reasonable!
