I highly recommend La Casona Hotel Boutique. It is very charming, intimate and relaxing. All of the staff took such good care of me. I am a walker and loved walking around the area. It was very safe and well located. I will definitely come back and stay there again!

It is a beautiful place. With a charm of old times. Quiet, good area, with an amazing staff that is always there for you, and several options for lunch/dinner.

We spent two separate long weekends at La Casona on our last visit to Paraguay. From the initial communications via the Internet; to the driver meeting us at the airport; to the welcome upon arrival...everything was wonderful!
The well refurbished and maintained colonial house has all that we needed. It was comfortable, clean, convenient and felt like we were at home.

La Casona is a small, charming boutique hotel on a quiet Asunción street. The staff are welcoming and helpful and the rooms are nicely furnished. Perhaps most notable about the hotel is its lovely outside space, including an upstairs outdoor gym in the grounds! The WiFi is good and there is off street parking for about four cars.

From communication before our trip; the airport transport to the hotel; arrival in the lobby; breakfast; patio; tereré & maté station; hotel personnel; the room and information shared...everything was perfect. We have already recommended La Casona to friend!

This hotel has a lovely courtyard and fine rooms. We were pleased with the accommodations.

No staff member that we met spoke any English. A misunderstanding with the desk clerk soured us on their service. We arrived fairly late at about 7:45. Our guide translated for us at check-in. We asked about dinner service and several choices were mentioned. We proceeded to settle into our comfortable room. Returning for supper about 8:15 the clerk said no. When we didn't comprehend, he used the computer to translate that the kitchen was closed. The material in the room specifically said the kitchen was open until 21:00.

Breakfast in the morning was excellent with made to order eggs.

I stayed a full week and was very satisfied. The hotel is small-scale, occupying a charming colonial house with a traditional open corridor, a patio with nice greenery and a small pool. There is no traffic noise at all, rather you can hear birds singing in the morning. Rooms (I tried two types) were spacious and comfortable with excellent beds and bathrooms. The a/c (convertible as a heater) was silent and efficient. Along the outdoor corridor there are several comfortable seating areas as well as in the patio (which also houses a barbecue at your disposal). Breakfast was good and service excellent, staff very friendly and forthcoming. Wi-fi was reliable and taxis swiftly available upon request. The hotel also boasts a meeting or TV-room which can be used by the guests. This kind of lodging is still rare in Asunción and this small hotel is highly recommended!
Room for improvement: (a) A more varied breakfast would certainly be appreciated; (b) the small gym needs repair and new equipment in order to function as such.

I ll come back to enjoy the pool and the garden in that quiet atmosphere. It is a very nice place to rest not far from downtown

Hotel de poucos quartos com decoração moderna e agradável. Apesar de ficar ao lado de um cemitério acho que o local vale muito a pena pelo serviço de primeira e localização em área residencial muito tranquila e proximo a shoppings. Dá para ir a pé.

We flew to Asuncion, Paraguay to visit our daughter and stayed at the beautiful and very comfortable La Casona Hotel. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. The grounds are beautiful with a relaxing open-air porch, hammocks and comfortable couches. There is a small pool and an area for entertaining. Our rooms were very comfortable - probably the best bathroom/shower arrangement that we had on our entire trip throughout S. America. We had a front room/suite that opened to an enclosed living space-area that we could share with our adult children. Breakfast was excellent. It is not easy for U.S. travelers to navigate through Asuncion, especially at night. The front desk/host was fluent in English and was very helpful to us in making arrangements for cab and future travel. This hotel was the first on our journey throughout S. America and I was later thinking that I wished all of our accommodations were as comfortable and nice as the La Casona Hotel. We highly recommend it.

Situated in a residential area this charming hotel is a home from home, the room was very comfortable and bathroom superb. The Casona is a wonderfully refurbieshed colonial house with excellent taste throughout. Breakfast was great and the front office staff were helpful and very professional.

Outstanding small hotel that felt like home. It is close to the city but quiet. The people here are amazing and the service was even better. One night we wanted to grill and the staff helped us start our coals and even provided extra commodities for our romantic dinner. One night even in the rain they were waiting with an umbrella and walked us to our room. I can't say enough about how wonderful the service was here. I look forward to coming many times more!!!!! I will truly miss it!

Stayed a week. Beautiful colonial house, now a hotel. Friendly staff always open for a conversation. Good coffee and nice "mate" selection that they will prepare for you. Rooms are nice, big, and clean. Beautiful garden to sit and relax, and cute swimming pool. I will recommend you to order "asado" (traditional Paraguay meat cut) and they will prepare for you in the grill by the pool.

We arrived at 3:00 am and as we pulled up the door man was out to help with bags. They had breakfast ready for us even though we didn't wake up until after 12:00. We were without a phone, and we're not fluent in Spanish. The desk person made some important calls and appointments for us. The garden and pool were very nice and quiet. We loved this place. The location was great, all the newest restaurants and shopping is in the Villa Morra district of Asuncion where this hotel is located.
