Hotel Iskra by Katowice Airport

Comfortable enough for a night. We’d originally requested this hotel and got put in hotel Wilga next door (their sister hotel). We requested a double room and got a twin, and the staff didn’t answer either of my two emails sent inquiring about booking in an airport shuttle for the morning after or whether we had to do anything for a very late arrival (both were easily done once we arrived). Front desk staff did speak English. Value-for-money wasn’t great compared to other places in Poland, but would stay again as it was very convenient to the airport.

Blízko letiska. Transfer medzi letiskom a hotelom zadarmo. Čo sa týka ubytovania
bol som spokojný , čistota, pohodlné postele a personál super. Mínus u mňa raňajky. O hodine 9.00 už skoro nič nebolo a celkovo veľmi slabý výber za cenu 25 PLN. A ďalšie mínus výťah, ktorý stále nejak cinkal čo mňa osobne budilo a to som bol od neho ďaleko.

The room we book was a single room for two people , the staff told us that the room we booked is a single room for one person, after consulting the hotel manager we had to pay 59 polish zloty more for the room then the actual 200 Pln. price for a double room .The only reason we booked the hotel is convenient location close to the Katowice Airport .

We only booked this hotel for half a night because we needed to pick up our car from the airport the next morning. The room was clean and spacious. The staff are at the reception 24/7 and were very helpful.

Stayed there for just 2 days, but I have to say it's one of the best hotels I have been at. Prices are extremely low, customer service was excellent, lady on the reception helped me with everything I needed. Would definitely recommend to everyone!

Außerdem die Datum stimmt nicht was ist hier geschrieben. Ich war 14-15.11.

OK for a one night stay- rooms are dated and had to struggle to find a plug to charge my computer. The desk had a lamp with a pulg which was 2 meters away.

if you need an extremely convenient location and fair price - good choice. It is only few minutes from the airport and provides shuttle buses. Parking is free of charge and you leave your car there for a prioce much lower than at the airport's long-term parking. Breakfasts are tasty and provide decent selection of dishes. The only disadvantage are extremely uncomfrtable beds (very soft matress).

Perfect location: very near to the airport and to fast motorway connections, yet extremely quiet and comfortable. Good food and excellent service at the restaurant. Plenty of parking space. Spacey and sufficiently equipped rooms.

Good location--close to the airport. Prompt shuttle service. Comfortable bed and nice updated bathroom. The carpet needs to be changed--it's stained and dirty. The rollers/sham pillows had stains, the towels were worn out and had holes in them (but they were quite water absorbent and soft ). Good breakfast with lots of choices. Great staff.

Thanks to Ryanair cancelling our flight home we booked this hotel at the last minute!
Hotel was clean and comfortable and very reasonably priced. Free shuttle service to and from the airport which was easy to arrange.
Evening meal and breakfast all good and staff friendly and spoke excellent English.

Spent one night here. Very handy for airport with complimentary transfer to the hotel. However we had to wait for over 30 minutes so you are probably better off getting a taxi.

The hotel is dated and needs a major refurbishment. The door on my room did not lock properly but I did not realise this until the morning.

The bed was reasonably comfortable and the bathroom was clean, howver it was a very hot night and there is no air con or fans so it was very stuffy.

Breakfast was basic continental fare with some scrambled eggs and sausage also available and the coffee will keep you awake all day.

Es war eine Nacht mit viel Lärm von anderen Gästen auf einem sehr unbequemen Bett.

The Hotel rooms ae ok, but that was it. THe Staff are unfriendly with almost no exception. THe food is very very bad. After two days i couldnt eat here anymore. I tried there Patner Hotel but it was worse. At Breakfast there are rotten fruits on the buffet tabel. Only one staff refills the stuff. You can see thart all the staff hate their jobs.

I spent there one night with my family, good location near airport, complimentary shuttle bus will take you to the airport, when traveling with two children ask for an extra bed. Friendly staff, very tasty breakfast
