Loved this place, We checked in very late in the night, We were greeted with open arms. We were guided down this winding car path to the back of the property, assisted with our bags & taken to our room. Very Large room, Clean & colorful. Fresh towels, soap & shampoo. Hot water, A/C, Refrigerator & Satellite TV. So the next morning we were awakened by tropical birds chirping outside, Took a nice Hot Shower with good pressure in a very large stall. As we stepped outside we were amazed at how deep we were back in this Very Tropical property. We walked to the front of the property to find our included Breakfast at a very large open-air restaurant. We also at that time discovered that there is a Nice little Water Park included with the stay. We had a nice traditional Ecuadorian Breakfast with coffee & fresh squeezed tropical juice. We also found walking trails all through the property & along side a winding Creek/River.
Very Tropical plants, flowers, bamboo, Birds everywhere. There are multiple pools & plenty to do, Great for kids. We very much enjoyed our 2 night stay & will definitely stay here again as my wife has family in the area.

Traveling off-season, we arrived at Hosteria D'Carlos as the only guests on the property. We dined with Carlos and enjoyed shrimp and fried tilapia from their own pond. The grounds are beautiful, once you get away from the aqua park. I would have liked to have been there to see families dining, dancing and enjoying the water park, but it was a ghost town. Awakening to the sounds of the jungle birds was a delight that reminded me of my childhood growing up in Central and South America. Don't be fooled by the pin on the map, the hotel is 7.5km off the highway. I encouraged Carlos to provide more complete directions. It was memorable and enjoyable.

This small hotel is surrounded by a beauticul garden next to a small pond. Very quiet, clean and friendly. Families with children would love this place bcs it is next to a waterpark good wifi and balanced free breakfast

The hotel has a small waterpark and is little too secluded and my wife did not like that part. I say it is good for backpacking guys.
