Small beachfromt accommodation, staff are excellent.

The Micky Monkey is a unique property. Our room was clean and air conditioned with a heat pump. It's directly on the beach. There is a restaurant / bar onsite. There are only a dozen or so private rooms and if you are looking for a quiet, authentic experience, this is perfect.

Nice little property on the beach between the extremely expensive hotels. The little primitive wooden bungalows have a mattress mosquito net and a coat hanger inside. That’s what you’re paying for the toilet and the shower are outside but are part of your rental. I didn’t mind it. Location pays for everything as you step outside. You’re on the beach. The beach was empty, but I’ve never got to enjoy it because of the windy rainy days. I would definitely go back. If you want five star pay the $500 a night next door.

The staff was wonderfully, going so far as to include us in a birthday party celebration for one of there staff. Asked about our days plans in the morning and asked in the evening how it was. The cabins are air c9ndioned and clean. We had our own bathroom. The food was top notch as were the drinks. They made sure we had fresh bottled water everyday. The beach in the morning when no one else was awake was spectacular. We had tea and snack on the beach front in comfy chairs. We also got Thai massages and those ladies rock, it was a blast we hated to leave and desperately want to come back soon.

It is a very simple place, directly on the beach. Unspoilt and relaxing. Not luxurious butbetter than luxury

I had the time of my life here, I enjoyed it so much, everything was just perfect, the beach, the people, the bamboohut, the food and even the roosters who was scrieming at 3.30 in the morning could not make me feel angry, I loved the sound. I felt like brooke shields in the blue lagoon.

We knew this would be very basic accommodation and were okay with that, but some improvements would help. We paid for 2 nights but no one ever came by the second day. The shower area could have used some hooks and a shelf as it was difficult to find anywhere to put your clean clothes, etc so things wouldn't get wet. Likewise in the cabin. Everything had to go on the floor which was scarce to begin with. However, the air conditioning worked great and the mosquito netting was appreciated.

We had the hut right on the beach. It was clean and was a perfect location to feel like you had escaped reality. Its a very paradise feel place. As long as you dont want busy..it is perfect as there is not anything close by. Lovely location. Staff very helpful.

The property is a hidden gem amongst huge resorts. The staff and location are ideal for a relaxing get-away

Bamboo huts were basic but comfy, with air con, a fan and mosquito net.
Right on the beach, which was pretty quiet.
Food was average but there was a nice relaxed atmosphere.

Lovely location. Rooms slightly overpriced but it is surrounded by five star hotels so is a bargain. Good food. Loved the outdoor shower.

It was very quaint. It was clean and relaxing and just let you sit listen to the ocean and let it all go.

Great place to unwind with nothing happening. Very remote and "shuttle" service they offer only may happen after 10 a.m. and we never saw anyone at the restaurant until at least 9:30 for breakfast. Food is good. Great beach, sunset, etc

This place is great as it was just what I was looking, quiet, rustic, friendly staff and great to relax away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist areas, it has a very quiet beach with nobody trying to sell you watches or sun glasses, nobody trying to sell you jet ski rides just miles of unspoilt coast line and clear blue water. The water does however get deep very quick and the waves can be quite big so suited more to stronger swimmers.
My wife and I stayed in one of the beach front villas which was great, very rustic and basic but with aircon which was very much appreciated by myself.
If you like luxury and 5 stars this place is not for you but if you want to see the quieter side of thailand then this place is a must.
I shall deffinately be returning.

It's a great place for the price and for its intention. It is meant to be a rustic hotel, so it does the job. Right in front of the beach. Good food. Relaxing environment.

The cottage was great - just on the edge of the sea. Fridge but no kettle. Peaceful beach, great restaurant. Good VFM for high season and location. Would stay again.
