I got to have a ocean front room with a wonderful view! I got to see that spectacular Sunset!
Pros:

The view was wonderful! Easy access to the beach! That was my number one need! The breakfast was very nice and an added bonus. The room was large and good space for two people. Having a separate sleeping area was nice.

Cons:

The room was large but the set up was awkward. We could hear our neighbors every night talking. It was like they were standing right in front of our window but they weren't. Not enough counter space in the bathroom even for 2 people. If we had 3 or 4 adults not enough room. We needed more counter space for bathroom necessities but also to put our suitcases on. Also maybe a table/desk and two chairs would have been nice in that empty space. The Green chair was cool, but not enough. Also not enough lighting. No working vent for the shower and bathroom. Plus the fireplace needed a fan.

Comfort, good breakfast & chowder greet you steps from the beach.
Pros:

The beds were very comfortable. The view excellent. The kitchen was a plus. Carpets fairly new. The robes were plush and comfortable and in very brisk October weather, welcomed. Breakfast was very good, with a lot of selections. There was a pool and hot tub and a path direct to the beach. From 5-7 you could get a cup of smoked chowder for free and get fresh baked chocolate chip cookies.

Cons:

The toilets were slow to flush, new plumbing needed. Only 2 comfortable chairs in the room and with 3 people, some had to sit at the table in hard chairs. The murphy bed was hard to pull out and you had to be tall to get it down from the wall. I would have prefered shampoo dispensers in the shower rather than fighting little bottles. I would definitely stay there again!

We enjoyed the easy access to the beach from room; the place is clean staff is excellent breakfast is good, all-around great place to stay, thank you.

Cons:

Not enough handicapped parking. Parking spaces are way too narrow. Had to have staff call someone that was sleeping to move their vehicle so we could get in ours.

I have been staying here for 20 years, and it's still my favorite hotel in Lincoln City.
Pros:

The cookies and chowder in the evening were so good! We stay here for the affordable oceanfront rooms, how pet-friendly they are, and my kids love the pool!

Cons:

I love the layout of the rooms in the original building, but they could use some updating like new carpet, appliances, etc. I also wish you could access the beach right from your patio on the first floor, but its a quick walk to the path.

Cons:

The loft unit upstairs toilet did not fill after he first flushing and the tank was dirty and moldy.
The room itself was antiquated and the windows and sliding glass door showed ocean air damage.

Ascend has descended.
Pros:

Long time guests but the last three visits have been less than perfect.

Cons:

Requested ahead of time for a certain building and room, the last three times they have not honored the requests.
We won't be back again.

It was on the beach and had a good balcony view

Cons:

The room was dirty, musty smelling and outdated, had to borrow cleaner from house keepers cart to clean our own room just to be comfortable staying, and unfortunately there’s dogs allowed on the beach which entails trying to dodge the piles leftover that dog owners can’t be bothered to clean up
