Africa Paradise Airport Boutique Hotel

Lorsque nous sommes arrivés après 18h de vol, pendant que vous allions pouvoir dormir dans un bon après avoir réservé et payé cette chambre en décembre l’année dernière, nous avons eu la mauvaise surprise d’être rejetée par la propriétaire prétendant que la réservation avait été annulée.
Nous nous sommes retrouvés à la rue avec nos enfants dans un pays étranger.
La propriétaire ne nous a proposé aucune solution et nous a demandé de partir.

The room looked as if the furniture was discarded from someones private bedroom
Linen was shredded and tucked in to hide. Wardrobe was half painted. The sink was about to fall off and the shower was slippery to the point of dangerous. The only redeeming fearure.was.tje staff who opened gates at all.hours of the morning.and night

Booked a Spa. Theres no Spa there! Just a sude room, with outsourced therapist. 1 bed. So, my wife and i just canceled the massage. Its false advertising!

Don't know about other reviews here, but we will never again book or stay at this property. The manager/owner disregards our video and photographic evidence that hookers were on the property making a noise at 2am.

Manager refutes this despite proof. We have stayed at hundreds of properties and this is the first negative review ever posted, so we are not lying. Not only that but the bathroom was in ill repair, damaged pipes and broken items.

Booked for 3 nights, stayed only 1 and they refused to refund us the other 2 nights. We lost the payment but for our own comfort we booked in somewhere else.

Stay here at your own peril.

I have known this property for many years and used to be very quiet with few rooms but now developed with many more rooms and staff but still keeps it's friendly charm. Lovely settings in quiet residential surroundings opposite the golf course.

Booked and prepaid my room. Upon arrival they had given it to someone else. They were then fully booked. I was sen5 to another hotel. Would never recommend this hotel. Will not reply to my request for a refund. Terrible

Das Hotel an sich liegt sehr gut und auch der garten sowie der pool sieht super aus... leider ist dieses Hotel momentan eine baustelle... auch unser zimmer war sehr runtergekommen und hat komisch gerochen...die toilettenspülung war auch defekt... schade...

This was our first stop after getting of the plane, we got there earlier than the check in time, really friendly staff who showed us where everything was and our room was ready before our check in time, we to use the facilities whilst waiting, room clean and pleasant.

Major discrepancy between what is on the booking site and in real life, e.g. advertised as jetted bathtub and shower, but the bathroom did not have a bath. See-through curtains instead of the advertised curtains with block-out. "Premium bedding" turned out to be average at best - in addition, no top sheet; you sleep directly under the duvet, and I am not so sure that the duvet cover is washed every time. Breakfast was disappointing. To top it all, I was charged R20.00 for a glass of flat Coke being poured from a 2L bottle. I inquired about the charge as the listed price in the brochure was R15.00. The response was simply: " the prices went up, but we have not updated the brochure yet".

We enjoyed staying at Africa Paradise. Benoni is a bit far from many of the tourist attractions, but we always felt very safe and we really appreciated the free, secure parking. The fact that a full British breakfast is included is a plus. Be aware that the airport shuttle is a BMW sedan - we had a lot of luggage, but Tesh, the driver made it work. Tanke gave us some good suggestions of things to do and corrected problems as they arose. The only two negatives were no refrigerator in the room and we were underwhelmed with both quality of food and service when ordering dinner at the hotel. Given that there are no restaurants within easy walking distance and we were uncomfortable walking or even driving after dark we would have liked the hotel to provide a better dinner dining experience.

Worst booking ever. Room offered didn't have a bathroom and you had to go up stairs and share a bathroom with 2 other rooms. None of this was ever communicated. Had to walk around the guest house in the middle of the night trying to locate the toilet. The TV in the room didn't work. 2x single duvets used on a double bed. Don't think it gets any worse than this place service wise. Blinds were outside the room which means there's no privacy.

My wife and I had been on a 4 day safari in Kruger where we had little in terms of running water and electricity. After a few late nights, early morning infs and sitting around a camp fire every night, we were tired and smelly. When we arrived at this place, I felt like the fresh prince of Joberg. Modern, safe luxury place, really friendly staff, rooms are very comfortable and a decent size pool where you can also relax by. Would really recommend it to anyone.

It is always a pleasure to stay here. This is my 2nd time staying here in the last 4 months. The staff is friendly and helpful. We were greeted as soon as we drove through the gate, feels like you arrived at Fantasy Island. The only one missing is Tattoo. Our bags were taken to our room, which was large, clean, and had all the amenities we needed in making our stay enjoyable. The menu was good and food was delivered to our room at the appointed time. We had a good nights sleep and in the morning our breakfast was ready when we wanted it. The staff here really goes out of their way to make sure that you comfortable. Being an international traveler, they make you feel like one of the family here. I have found a home away from home here at Africa Paradise and you will too.

After driving 4 hours from Hazyview, and not knowing the area, we booked a room near the airport. It is located just off N12, and in a secure neighborhood. The staff was great and attended to our needs. The room we were booked into was nice, clean, and spacious. There was a problem with the room, as it was not picking up wifi. They immediately changed our room where the to a bigger room with a Jacuzzi where the wifi worked. They asked what time we wanted breakfast, and had it ready at the appointed time. When we came down for breakfast, the tv was tuned into the channel that I was watching the night before. The staff member told my daughter that he noticed what I was watching the night before and had it tuned it in for me the next morning. The hotel is very nice, secure, clean, plus the staff goes the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable. Although we did not use the pool or any amenities this is the place to stay. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Joburg.

staff could not do more for you. play area for kids, pool in great condition lovely outside area, rooms were clean and the shared bathroom was gorgeous.
