I can not recommend this place enough. The owner was incredibly kind and sweet. He cooks a personal breakfast for you each day and brings it to your cottage. And he’s a great cook. The cottages are wonderful and romantic. This is definitely a place for a couple. I wouldn’t recommend sharing a room with a friend or family as it is a very personal space. The bathroom is outdoors (still private and closed off from the rest of the property). The bathroom has an outdoor tub which I wouldn’t recommend using (we let the water run for 30 minutes and it didn’t even fill halfway). It is located a little bit of a walk from the main drag, which we were actually happy about once we learned how loud the area gets at night. It’s an easy tuk-tuk ride back. Most drivers don’t know where it is but if you say it is very close to Lae Lay Grill, they’ll know exactly where to go. 100% would recommend this hotel.

amazing room, and this is my second time staying with Baan Dilamun. I will still going back to this place whenever i have an opportunity.

매력적인 숙소였어요. 첫날밤 방에 도마뱀이 나타나서 엄청 놀랐지만 재미있었던 추억으로 남았어요. 조식도 정성스럽고 훌륭했고, 사장님과 직원분도 엄청 친절하셨어요. 허니문이라 했더니 예쁜 꽃과 카드도 써주시고 감동이었어요. 아침 샤워할때 새 울음소리와 바람에 흔들리는 풀잎들 소리가 정말 기분이 좋았어요. 다시 가고싶은 숙소예요.

Firstly you shall book this hotel only if you are not scared of Lizards and Insects as the whole concept of Outdoor toilet and bathtub means you will see all these every time you need to use bathroom. There are Lizards inside the room as well and they make noises throughout the night.

My wife and me booked this for three nights with non-refundable fees and it was a mistake. On day my wife was scared and uncomfortable and we had to shift to another hotel for remaining two nights. No refund was given to us.

At the same time, the owner has tried to do well by putting quiet AC, good bedding etc.

Hotel is meant for pure nature lovers. There is no service as such and there is no phone in the room so you cannot call for service. Breakfast is served at the room, the quality of food was good but quantity was small. You cannot order more as there is no one around to order. Or need to getup and go to reception and ask for it.

The surroundings are kept as it is, no decoration or gardening. The outdoor bathtub and shower area has windows and we could see some people at the house up the hill, not sure if they can also see you too.

Net net it was not a good experience for us and we lost close to 200 USD.
