Nice hotel in the middle of a big shopping center
Pros:

I have been to the Yonkers Hyatt before so I knew what I was getting. It is a pleasant hotel in the middle of the Cross County Shopping Center. If you plan to spend a couple of days shopping there, good choice, otherwise, seems strange.

It is a perfectly nice hotel. The rooms are spacious and quiet. I stayed in room 901 this time, It is a very large room with two queen beds and a separate sitting area. It even has two TVs.

My only complaint is the breakfast is pretty meager for such a nice three-star hotel. They should really do something about it. There is cereal and eggs and a few other things so you won't starve, but fine dining this is not. No waffle-making machine or pancake-making machine or fresh danish pastry or croissants or cupcakes or most pf the things good hotels have for breakfast. Other than that, good hotel.

Caring and Attentive Staff
Pros:

Hyatt Place Yonkers is my favorite hotel because of its warm, friendly and attentive staff. I love coming here because of them. Front desk manager Lorenzo recognized me from prior stays just as soon as I walked through the door. Lorenzo was also a visible hard-working presence in the breakfast cafe each morning clearing dishes and greeting guests. Staff stored a birthday cake for me in the hotel refrigerator. Noelle at the front desk showed her concern for guest safety and wellbeing when she cautioned me to be careful outside because the asphalt in the parking lot was slippery from the rainfall. Housekeeping staff are always cheerful and friendly. The hotel is beautifully maintained and looks new after 11 years. And the location in the Cross County shopping mall with a Stop & Shop supermarket across the street and several fast food options (Starbucks, Cava, Shake Shack, Chipotle, etc) is fantastic.

My stay was decent but very cold
Pros:

I stay here because of the convenance of where I need to be. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly.

Cons:

The price could be lower.
No matter when I stay there, no matter what the season is, no matter what room I stay in, the rooms are always overly cold. I have to sleep with extra clothes on and extra blankets even with the thermostat set to 80 degrees. Something really needs to be done about that. For the money that I spend to stay there, I should not have to freeze every time I stay.
