Wonderful place to stay and relax on vacation.
Pros:

Very clean and in a good location. Loved that it was right on the river. Staff was very friendly and helpful. 😊 loved the hot tub too!

Cons:

Only minor downfall was no onsite laundry but staff was helpful in suggestions on laundry facilities in the area.

We definitely plan on staying again in the future. This will be our first choice for accomodations.
Pros:

The room by the river was great. The manager was friendly and attentive. The self serve room with filtered ice and water was amazing. The room was very clean when we arrived.

Cons:

People staying up late and talking loudly on the deck was the only complaint. Someone was talking very loudly on the deck, on her phone during the morning for quite a while also. I talked to the manager and he handled it promptly.

Absolute gem in cooler months. NO AIR CONDITIONING. Not recommended for hot summer days.
Pros:

The location of this lodge is excellent. It's a short drive to the lesser-used entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park, which helped avoid some of the long lines. It's also situated by a stream and in a wooded area, making the location beautiful.

Cons:

There is no AC. This is not a problem for 10 months out of the year, but I was there in July and the room was unbearably hot. The temperatures outside did cool at night, but getting that cool air into the room required having just the unlockable screen door between your bed and the outside world. Also, anyone passing by could see while you're sleeping. I was not comfortable with that.

We enjoyed visiting Estes Park and we felt safe and comfortable at Ponderosa Lodge.

Highly recommend!
Pros:

Great location, beautiful scenery, and very helpful staff. The room was right on the river. It was very relaxing to sit on the porch after a long day of hiking. Ben and Tim were great!
