Hôtel Joke - Astotel

The location of hotel is relatively easy to get around. Walking distances to supermarkets, restaurants and shopping. Hotel room is average size. The rooms are not very soundproof. I could hear my neighbors at night. Security was not the best. The room door did not have an extra lock, which didn’t feel so safe. An advantage is that you can stop by any hotel from the same hotel group and grab snacks/drinks during certain time. Overall not bad.

Staff was very nice. The area was bustling with a lot cafes and restaurants. Public transportation was very close by either busses or the Metro. The city itself was made to walk and later by traveling by metro. Traffic is intense so be wary of using cars or busses to travel. Lots of bakeries and different options for food including fast food options that taste better than what you'd find back home. Kind of a quirky hotel but that basically makes sense it's located in the old red light district. Moulin Rouge is right there basically. Great place to buy souvenirs around Rue Blanche. Great guy very nice and good prices. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would stay again.

3 person room. air conditioning was strong. good TV channels, operating windows in the washroom and room but bugs flew in at night when left open. loved the free food in the afternoon in the lobby.

Great stay clean rooms

Found this gem and couldn't have been happier about it. Great little quaint and cozy hotel that really felt like home for a couple of days. Staff (especially front desk) are super helpful and informative. The room was super clean and taken care of, and has all the amenities you can imagine. Free minibar and free snacks at the lobby are just the finishing touches of an overall fantastic experience. Can't recommend enough; made my stay in Paris that much better. Plus, location is beyond great. Simply amazing.

Just fell in love with the Joke. Great client service, nice clean tiny rooms, great area. Price-service match is absolute.

Phenomenal staff at this great hotel. Roico at reception was extremely helpful when we arrived.

For a short stay is a nice place. I stayed 3 days at the hotel. It was 3 of us. The room was small but comfortable, we had a queen bed and a small sofa bed. It’s close to the Moulin Rouge theater, so is a tourist site and that was ok. What I didn’t like was that there are many sex stores around the theater and that attracts the wrong crowd.

The hotel was a last minute booking but I am so glad we chose it. The hotel is recently renovated and our room felt new. Rooms don’t have a lot of storage but are spacious by European standards. The bathroom was also larger than expected. Staff was amazing- friendly and very helpful. The area is central and 1 block to the metro. I would definitely stay here again.

My friends and I traveled to Paris to see Beyonce in concert and Hotel Joke was the perfect host. The hotel is really cute with creative decor but the staff was truly incredible each member we encountered was friendly, kind, and helpful. What we loved most about the hotel is how centrally located it is, it's literally in walking distance of Moulin Rouge and so many other fun/amazing establishments. We really had the time of our lives and would absolutely return to Hotel Joke.

Very interesting hotel.

This hotel has small but thoughtfully designed rooms. The atmosphere is playful--everything was clean, the staff was great. I didn't get the breakfast, but it looked great. There were plenty of cheap breakfast options right outside the door. The concierge Rocio was very warm, friendly and helpful.

The hotel is very loud with doors constantly slamming and the aircon broke. It was one of the worser hotels I have stayed in.

Very clean and friendly hotel. Near Metro and plenty of choice for restaurants. This comes with a downside. If room facing road you can expect approx 4 hrs sleep per night. Soundproofing doesn’t exist.

The hotel has air conditioning, which was welcome during the early July heatwave but it is on a BMS so only goes down to 19C. For a last minute reservation, this was a pleasant stay.

Great stay! Staff super friendly and wonderful location! And they have AC which was huge for us as Paris is hot!

Super cute hotel, clean, stylish, great for families, great breakfast, would stay here again!
