Our new place to stay downtown
Pros:

We had an excellent stay here and will definitely be back. Ideal location, charming old building with nice decor, friendly and responsive staff, clean, quiet and comfy room, good restaurant that always has a table for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, a cozy bar/lobby with live jazz and complimentary hot cider, and actually reasonable prices -- perfect!

Pros:

West Village Charm
Pros:

The Walker Hotel was fantastic. My family loved it. The price was very reasonable for the area, and the rooms were slightly larger than other comparable West Village hotels. We will definitely stay here again!

“Boutique” excuse: tiny dusty rooms, bad view, hidden fees, no AC, bare-minimum service. Only plus is location.
Pros:

Walker Hotel is taking advantage of the term “boutique hotel.” Great location, but that’s about it. Arrival was bizarre — no doorman, a homeless man at the entrance, and no clear way to get to the lobby except by taking an elevator down through what feels like a jazz club while carrying your bags. The room was very small and genuinely dusty, with only the most obvious surfaces cleaned. There was almost nowhere to put luggage or clothes, and the bathroom was badly designed. No in room coffee, a fake “minibar,” hidden fees, and “credits” they basically charge you for. The AC didn’t work, room service was awkward, and coffee for two was absurdly expensive. Overpriced and underwhelming.

A beautiful hotel in the perfect location — Walker Hotel Greenwich Village made our whole trip unforgettable
Pros:

We have just returned from a 5-night stay at Walker Hotel Greenwich Village and honestly, we couldn’t have chosen a better hotel for our trip.

From the moment we arrived the atmosphere felt calm, welcoming and very “New York” in the best way. The location in Greenwich Village was absolutely perfect — we loved being in a neighbourhood that felt relaxed and full of character rather than somewhere overly touristy, yet everything was still incredibly easy to reach on foot or by subway.

The hotel itself is beautiful, with a really stylish but cosy feel. The lobby and bar area are lovely in the evenings and it was so nice coming back after a day of exploring to somewhere that felt relaxed rather than busy or chaotic.

What really made our stay special was the service. We were visiting to celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday and the team were genuinely so kind and helpful. They arranged a birthday amenity in the room and also helped with a late checkout, which made a big difference on our last day. It felt thoughtful rather than scripted, and that meant a lot.

We also upgraded our room before arrival and it was absolutely worth it. The room was beautifully decorated, very comfortable, and felt like a proper New York hotel room rather than something generic. Everything was spotless and the bed was incredibly comfortable after long days walking around the city.

Another thing we really appreciated was how quiet the hotel felt at night. Even though you’re in such a lively area, it still felt peaceful and relaxing, which is exactly what you want after a full day sightseeing.

We would 100% stay here again and would recommend it to anyone who wants a stylish hotel in a great neighbourhood, especially if you love the idea of exploring the Village, finding great coffee spots, and enjoying a more relaxed side of New York.

Thank you for a really lovely stay — it made a very special trip even more memorable.

Pros:

Extremely convenient location. Quiet street but walkable to a lot of things.

Cool vibe, great service, lots of deligthful touches. Doesn't feel at all like a chain hotel.

Charming boutique hotel and exceptional staff!
Pros:

This was our first time staying at this charming boutique hotel for a quick weekend trip to visit family. A great location and easy access to terrific restaurants and the sites of NYC. The lobby, bar and restaurant provide a very cozy atmosphere. As expected in NYC, the rooms are on the smaller side, but they are very comfortable, with everything you need.
What truly sets this hotel apart is the exceptional staff—every interaction felt genuine, attentive, and welcoming. This truly sets this hotel apart from others.
Highly recommend.

A Charming Greenwich Village Gem with a Hidden Culinary Surprise
Pros:

A charming hotel in an exceptional location in the heart of Greenwich Village. The real hidden gem, however, is Society Cafe. In a city with endless world-class dining options, the fact that we chose to eat at the hotel two nights in a row says everything—you simply won’t be disappointed.

A hidden gem
Pros:

The staff is wonderful! We were there on business and the owner had a medical emergency, they helped us canceled the rest of his stay and were extremely sympathetic. The hotel feels like you are staying in Europe. It's quiet, and elegant. The restaurant is fabulous as well and you just can't beat the location. Walking distance to Soho, West and East Village.

Better than I expected!
Pros:

Lovely art deco hotel in a great location. Staff were friendly and helpful. I knew the room would be small but there wasn't enough storage space to unpack so we both had to live out of our suitcases during our stay. We only ate breakfast at the hotel and they were the best we have ever had! Compliments to the chef!
