Great stay in the Village
Pros:

Very wonderful hotel, cozy and true to lower Manhattan. Would definitely stay here again. Loved the bar and front lobby with music and ambiance. Sat out at the little table of the sidewalk and people watched. It is close to everything in the village and convenient to the subways. Loved it!

My Home Away from Home in Greenwich Village
Pros:

I’ve stayed at the Walker Hotel in Greenwich Village at least once or twice a month, and after living in NYC for over a decade, it has truly started to feel like home. It’s the only hotel I stay at when I’m in the city.

What makes the Walker so special is the people. The staff is incredible — there’s something unique about walking through the door and being greeted by people who know you and make you feel genuinely welcomed. That level of personal attention is rare and makes every stay feel special.

The location is unbeatable, with some of the best restaurants in NYC right outside your door and everything the Village has to offer within reach. The hotel itself is always impeccably clean, beautifully designed, and has that perfect boutique feel that makes it feel more like a home than a hotel.

I truly can’t recommend the Walker Hotel enough. It’s a special place, and every stay reminds me why it has become my home away from home in New York.

A great experience will be back again!
Pros:

The Walker Hotel in Greenwich Village provided my family and I a perfect getaway. My son was in love with the spacious room and amazing view. The staff provided excellent service which was a big help when traveling with a toddler. The area also provided convenient shopping. A special thank you to their very own Jennifer Nandkumar for help from setting the reservation to check out and everything in between. This will definitely be a top choice the next time we decide to take another trip to the city.

This is the place
Pros:

This is a fantastic hotel. It is well located and easy to get anywhere from the village. It’s right by the Green market in case you want to get some fresh vegetables or flowers. Easy access to everything you need. And that’s just the location. The hotel is lovely. The staff especially Samantha at the front desk were good to me and attentive to every need. The food at the society restaurant is delicious and has a lot of choices. A great latte! Everyone on the staff was friendly and very helpful. It was a joy and I’ll be recommending it to all my friends, and I will certainly be coming back myself.

Very helpful and friendly staff.
Pros:

Breakfast menu had a good variety. Location was easy to get to the places and restaurants we like

Cons:

It definitely needs some renovation. Tiles were missing on the floors and they needed to be polished. The lighting in the entire hotel is too dark particularly the bathrooms

Great location, value and charm!
Pros:

The Walker Greenwich Village is located in the perfect location. It’s walking distance to great restaurants and shops. The style of the hotel is beautiful but call ahead to inquire when the lobby construction will be done as it is a bit of an eye sore at the moment. The staff are alll super helpful and friendly. We happen to travel during FIFA week so the rates were a little higher but it was the case with all other hotels in the city and in the end we felt the value was fair. We were upgraded to the 17th floor and had a King bed and our room had enough day light and felt spacious. The bathrooms are tight without much counter space, but again that is standard for many boutique hotels in the city, so we were able to adjust as needed. There is 1 armoire & 3 tiny drawers, so if you’re sharing a room, you’ll have to split the closet. We would definitely return when we want a hotel that has a great location, warm feeling and good value.

Pros:

Honestly, I wasn’t sure what we were in for as this was our first time …I was pleasantly surprised.the walker is charming. In a great location. Newly renovated. The staff couldn’t have been nicer.
As far as rates in NYC , I felt they were reasonable.
I would recommend and return if I were needing to stay in this part of the city

Pros:

Great location! Hotel is older but upkeep is good. Rooms are smaller but clean and offer enough space. Staff is friendly and they offer complimentary water all day accessible without having to ask. Definitely would stay here next time.

Lovely hotel in great location
Pros:

Great location on a relatively quiet side street just off 6th Av. Room was small but nice - with deco atmosphere, nice bathroom, powerful shower. The room and hotel were clean, and street noise was low even with our window open, considering this is NY. Staff were friendly and helpful, and check in and check out were smooth. This is a cozy, nice hotel in a great location, but also quiet. They offer free coffee and water all day, and have a free happy hour (I think) every evening - though we were always out and didn't make it. I believe there is also a band every evening, but unfortunately we couldn't make that either! All in all, we enjoyed our stay and recommend it. We hope to be back.

Pros:

I am writing to formally complain about an unacceptable experience related to my reservation at the Walker Hotel Greenwich Village in New York City from May 8 to May 25.

Prior to my arrival, I sent a message through Booking.com clearly stating that I would be arriving on the morning of May 10 due to a delay in my travel plans. I intentionally booked the nights of May 8 and May 9 specifically so that my room would be available immediately upon my arrival after an overnight international flight that landed at JFK at 7:00 a.m. on May 10. I paid a significant amount of money for those additional nights solely to guarantee immediate access to my room upon arrival.

When I arrived at the hotel at approximately 9:00 a.m., I was shocked to be informed that my room was no longer available and that I would have to wait until the standard check-in time of 3:00 p.m. The hotel staff claimed that Booking.com had never transmitted my arrival message and, even more astonishingly, stated that they “do not check Booking messages.” This is completely unacceptable. I used the communication channel provided through your platform and reasonably expected that my message would be delivered and properly handled.

As a result, I paid for two additional nights that provided absolutely no benefit. I was denied access to the room during the period I had reserved, completely defeating the purpose of spending extra money to ensure accommodation immediately upon arrival.

Furthermore, because I was unable to access my room, I lost more than USD 300 worth of tickets for a concert at Brooklyn Paramount. After a long international journey, I was unable to shower, rest, or prepare myself as planned. Instead, my companion and I were forced to spend additional money outside the hotel and remain on the streets from approximately 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

I have always used Booking.com because I believed there was direct and reliable communication between your platform and the accommodation providers. A
