Great location in Greenwich Village - lovely staff!!
Pros:

This hotel is more on the traditional side with lovely touches - coffee and waters in the lobby - and really friendly and helpful staff. The room decor (at least the doubles/queen rooms) is a bit tired and dated, but overall a very pleasant stay and slept very well and quietly on the upper floors. The rooms are on the smaller side though have been told the King rooms are larger - good to note for next time. Will stay again.

Cons:

The Double/Queen rooms are on the smaller size and have not been renovated.

Great staff and nice location if you’re not looking to tour any of the well known spots
Cons:

The elevators were very dimly lit but not as dimly as the stairs to the basement where the public bathrooms are. So dark one risks falling and breaking one’s neck. A ghastly and thoughtless piece of interior design. Descend at your own risk!
By 4pm our room had still not been cleaned so never was that day as we’d come back to change and cleaner had gone home!

Just right accommodations!
Pros:

Our room was on the small side, but I realize space is at a premium in NYC and so it didn't bother me, especially since we were there to see family and were always out and about. It was a lovely room with a very comfortable bed and a really good shower. Honestly, this hotel just felt like home when we walked in the door. There were always guests hanging out downstairs, either working on their computers or just relaxing during the day, or having a cocktail while listening to live music in the evening--just a lively vibe in general and very pleasant. The restaurant and bar at the hotel were definitely a plus; we thoroughly enjoyed the cocktails and lunches we had there. The location is great with plenty of good shopping and restaurants in the area, and we felt very comfortable walking and accessing public transportation if we wanted to skip the cost of an Uber ride.

Charming small hotel in great location
Pros:

Great room, bed, shower, super hot water.
Restaurant and bar in the hotel, great to have.
Lovely lobby for coffee hanging out and fabulous jazz piano, plus, in the early evenings.
Staff is wonderful and the location is quiet within walking distance of many restaurants and places to see. They have a car service and Uber finds you easily there.
We will return.

Great location - but some of the amenities could do with improvement
Pros:

Location was great! and everything was clean and staff was friendly

Cons:

The room was very small, couldn't open a suitcase anywhere without blocking the whole room/doorway.
Wifi was very weak in the bedroom, nothing was loading
The AC kept making a loud banging noise every 30-45 minutes - it woke us up every night. When we asked the desk to have someone look at it, they said they would send someone but it wasn't fixed.
Our bedroom door broke and it took us 45 minutes to get back in

Lovely place, will be back, needs a bit of TLC
Pros:

Charming hotel, good food, nice people, amazing location.

Cons:

My room needed a bit of maintenance... the wallpaper was peeling, and the AC control did not really work.

Just okay
Pros:

Our stay was just fine. Based on reviews, I’d have expected a far more luxury experience. We did travel during NYU graduation weekend, which likely impacted cost, however our stay was underwhelming compared to the rankings we viewed which influenced our decision to stay there.

Falls Well Short of Its 4-Star Positioning
Pros:

I recently completed a five-night stay at the Walker Greenwich at an average nightly rate of over $600. While the location works well, the experience across several areas was disappointing and inconsistent with what the hotel markets itself to be.
Check-in experience: I arrived ahead of the standard check-in time and was told I'd receive a call when my room was ready. What wasn't made clear was that this call would only happen if the room became available before 3pm. When I followed up at 6:30pm, I learned the room had been ready since 3pm. The communication gap aside, the check-in itself lacked any warmth — no welcome, no acknowledgement of a prior stay, no offer of assistance or suggestions while I waited. A small thing perhaps, but these are the basics of hospitality.
Housekeeping: Service was provided on Monday and Tuesday without issue. On Wednesday, the room was not serviced at all. When I raised this at the front desk that evening, I was told that housekeeping sometimes misses rooms, and separately, that they may not have entered if they thought I was still inside. I left the room at 9:30am. Standard practice at any hotel is to knock — that didn't happen here.
Air conditioning: The unit stopped working overnight on Wednesday and wasn't resolved until Thursday evening. There was no proactive update, no acknowledgement that the issue had been fixed, and no follow-up from the team.
Individually, any one of these issues might be an isolated incident. Together, over five nights, they point to a gap between what the Walker Greenwich promises and what it currently delivers. The hotel positions itself around "authentic NY luxury" and carries a 4-star classification — the service culture, at least during my stay, did not reflect either. I chose this property on a work recommendation and for the convenience of the location. I would not choose it again.

Very comfirtable
Pros:

Although the room was on the small side, there were 2 queen beds and I think it was large by New York standards. They gave us $25 a day to use in their restaurant/bar and $10 a day to have a snack from the mini bar. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Very helpful staff.

Cons:

New York prices.

Disappointing, not worth the price.
Pros:

Overall we found the room extremely small, with no space for suitcases and a minimal wardrobe. We know the sqm in NYC is expensive, but this bad we have never experienced before.

Inadmissible pour le prix!
Pros:

Quaint boutique hotel in a perfect location.
Pros:

I picked this hotel for its location near to my daughter's apt. in West Village. I could not have been happier with everything from check in to food to service. We arrived about 1 pm and our room was not ready. We were given suggestions for several nearby restaurants. We loved Bar 6 around the corner. We were told our room would be ready at 3. We returned at 2:30 and waited in the cozy lobby. At 3 pm I approached the front desk and inquired about my room.I was told the one I was assigned was not ready yet but that they would move me to one which was ready. I had been up since 4 am and was very grateful for the accommodation. She did it without my even asking.

Breakfast was great. I had a scone and the yogurt with berries and homemade granola. Loved the granola.

Yes the room is small but standard for a NYC room. it is very well appointed and spotlessly clean. They use the space wisely. As others have mentioned there is limited closet and drawer space but since I pack with packing cubes I had no issues. There was plenty of closest space for my husband's shirts and our coats.

We were constantly greeted by all staff with smiles.

We did not stay for the music but it sounded great as we walked through the lobby one evening.

This is my new go to hotel in NYC!! It's 1 block from the L train. STAY here. You won't regret it.

Underbart läge och fantastisk inredning!
Pros:
