Hofsas is a charming little hotel in a beautiful area with an amazing staff and location!
Pros:

The rooms were very quaint. The furnishings were nice. The view of the ocean and sunset from the 2nd floor deck were truly beautiful. The deck was a common area with a few tables and chairs. It was the perfect place to sit and enjoy the sunset and a glass of wine. When the noise level is low you can hear the ocean waves. :) The breakfast was pastries and tea, coffee, fruit. All delicious for a quick bite before heading out. The staff were truly amazing. There was a gap in our screen and we asked to have it fixed and it was done immediately. Everyone was so kind and friendly.

Cons:

There is no elevator so being on the 2nd floor was a little tough with the luggage. There is also no air conditioning which was only a problem because we were on the last day of a 90 degree heat wave. The staff were wonderful in bringing us a fan to help. Once it cooled off at night and the heat wave broke we were fine and can understand why air conditioning is not needed.

Extremely disappointed at the condition of the property.
Pros:

Location is excellent and room was clean.

Cons:

This property needs some serious updating. Rooms are extremely outdated, furniture is old and beat up, bathroom from the 1960’s.

It was wonderful. I would definitely go back again and ask for the same room so that I can bring my mother with me again
Pros:

The location and cleanliness, but specifically the view from my room was wonderful. I would definitely stay here again.

Cons:

I was upset at myself because I didn’t ask if they have elevators and my mom is not able to go up a lot of stairs. But they accommodated with giving me a room where she only went up one flight.

Dated hotel, some rooms have nice views of the Pacific Ocean
Pros:

This dated hotel has a great location and a Disneyesque theme that dates back to the 1960's. The view of the Pacific from the room's balconly was lovely. Great staff, one gentleman from the front desk even ran to get me ice. This was much appreciated as my knees did not want to descend to the lower parking lot and then march back up with the ice. Perhaps an ice machine at the lobby level would be a good idea.

Cons:

Room size was rather small, chairs were attractive but you sank so low into them that it was difficult to get out of them. I sat in them only once. There are not enough outlets in the room, even the bedside radio (did I say dated?) and lamps did not offer additonal outlets. Balcony deck paint is peeling, one of the chaise had a broken slat.
