We survived...
Cons:

Out stay turned into a traumatic experience.
During our stay, an aggressive guest physically attacked members of our family. Police and emergency services had to be called. We felt trapped and unsafe.
During the incident, our family was screaming for help. The only staff member present at the hotel was the administrator, but we didn't receive any effective assistance during the emergency. We were travelling with a child (6 years old), who was left alone in the room during the incident, heard us screaming, and suffered severe emotional distress. After this event, my daughter became afraid to stay alone in a room.
Because we no longer felt safe, we were forced to leave the hotel immediately and pay for another accommodation. Our entire day was ruined, and my child was left without a proper meal because of the emergency situation.
The only assistance offered to us afterwards was a bottle of water. We didn't receive any compensation for the distress, additional expenses, or the impact this incident had on our family.
Due to the serious safety concerns and the lack of adequate support during an emergency, we cannot recommend this hotel.

A fine place to stay for a night or two, but not when the weather is hot.
Pros:

The hotel was in a good location with easy connections to the main city. It also provided the necessary facilities e.g., shower and toilet which were kept to a good standard. The hotel would be a fine place to stay for one or two nights under normal conditions.

Cons:

The main issue was that there was no way to regulate the heat. The room was very compact and became unbearably warm during a heatwave in Cologne, and there was no AC or fan provided to help against it. It was so bad that it was impossible to sleep even with no covers and the window open all night.

Pros:

Die Lage ist super und das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Auch das Check In und Check out gingen sehr schnell vor sich. Sonst war alles soweit ok.

Cons:

Ich hatte 2 verschiedene Buchungen und musste in 2 verschiedene Zimmer der gleichen Kathegorie. Das 2. Zimmer war größer und moderner. Ich habe mir die Zimmernummer gemerkt, die würde ich beim nächsten Mal auch konkret anfragen,

Lage ist super und die Angestellten an der Rezeption sind durchaus freundlich.

Cons:

Ich komme gut mit Hitze klar. Aber dies war ein anderes Level. Die Temperatur in dem Zimmer lag garantiert bei über 40 Grad. Die Außentemperatur von 32 Grad in der Früh wirkte erholsam kühl. Keine Klimaanlage zu haben ist das eine. Aber bei solchen Temperaturen in den Zimmern dürfen diese entweder nicht belegt werden oder es müssen Maßnahmen vom Hotel ergriffen werden, dass speziell in diesen Südseitenzimmern zum Abend hin nochmal runtergekühlt wird. Uns blieb am Ende nur der Hotelwechsel übrig.

Pros:

Great location near Heumarkt one stop either way to centre or deutz. Easily walkable to both as well instead. 15 min from central station. It’s really quiet as well and all you need.

Cons:

It’s old, the duvet/pillows are yellow with sweat not changed in about 30 years. The walls are yellow and it’s not air conditioned and the windows open fully into the room/over the bed. Easy for someone to climb in to ground floor and 1st floor as there’s a public courtyard level with first floor. It was so hot while I was there it was unbearable and stank of all the stale nicotine and smoke presumably coming from the walls from days they previously allowed smoking (yes it’s that old!).

Cons:

Die Begrüßung am Schalter, ist kurz und knapp ausgefallen. Keine Info zu wo wir das Zimmer finden. Da mussten wir erst nachfragen.
Im Flur liegt Teppich , der einen wechseln nötig hätte.
Im einem kleinen überschaubaren Zimmer, leider nur ein Ventilator, was bei 35Grad unerträglich war.

Enttäuschend
Cons:

Schmutzig, keine Belüftung, sodass im Zimmer und den Treppenhäusern die Luft stand und auch nachts um die 40 Grad hatte. Fairness halber möchte ich dazu erwähnen, dass es das heißeste Wochenende war. Flecken an den Wänden und dem Bettlaken, im Flur ist der Putz und die Farbe von der Wand gebröselt. Duschwanne durchgerostet, die Fugenmasse im Bad ist an vielen Stellen rausgefallen. Das Bad hat gerochen als ob man in einem Keller steht, der eine Luftfeuchtigkeit von 110 % hat. Die Fotos der Zimmer sehen sehr ansprechend aus. Mein Zimmer war davon weit entfernt.

The rooms weren’t clean enough.
We were booking a room with two separate beds beds but got one big one.
I can’t believe no ac in the 3 start hotel.
