Park Hyatt Zanzibar

Everything about this hotal disappointed. Arriving late, the front desk staff was slow, robotic and unwelcoming. My room was worn and musty and the bed was in need if replacement. The restaurants here were just awful—very slow szrvice, badly prepared food made with poor quality produce. The hotel is seaside but you’d never swim in this dirty water.all of this and Hyatt dares to charge rich world prices for a substandard experience nit worthy of Hyatt’s reputation. Give this place a niss!!!

Stunning ocean view, clean, beautiful room, accessible location to heart of stonetown and night market. Best part was meeting Kairanga. He engaged with our kiddo and taught us more about the lovely Maasai people. This is a 5 star property but Kairanga is what really made this experience memorable.

We were very disappointed by this hotel. Cool unwelcoming feoont desk vlerk when we arrived, brusque porter and slow inefficient absent-minded service in bars and festaurants. Room was rather worn and the food at the hitel was terrible—no flavor, overpriced, uninteresting. Room service menu a total disaster.

Beautiful boutique hotel! The building used to be a government building and is well preserved with original charm including being built around a majestic mango tree! We were warmly greeted as World Hyatt members days before our stay via email to ensure we had everything we needed. I informed the representative that it was my husband 40th birthday celebration that we were coming for and we were surprised with a bottle of champagne, fresh fruits and a piece of chocolate cake upon arrival! The room was beautiful! Loved the lighting and canopy bed. Every night, there was turn down service where our mosquito net was drawn. Our stay included breakfast which was divine! Fresh juices, Zanzibar coffee , coconut water in the coconut ! And an amazing spread of food! Fauzi assisted us with everything we needed! We also had dinner at the restaurant both nights. When you eat outside, the stonetown cats will beg for food but the waiters clear them away best as possible. I felt very safe at this hotel and it was very close to everything in stone town! We could walk anywhere ! It’s also right on the beach where locals gather to swim. We had an amazing stay here! Also loved the deep soaking bathtub!! We woke up to chanting from the local mosques around 5:15 am which was a good wake up for me to start the day. I will always remain loyal to Hyatt. They are a consistent hotel brand!

We stayed at Park Hyatt Zanzibar for three nights as a family, and it was truly one of the highlights of our trip.

The beachfront location in Stone Town is beautiful — the ocean views and changing tides made every day feel special. It is honestly one of the most stunning beaches we have experienced.

Traveling with a child, we especially appreciated how welcoming and comfortable the team made us feel. The service was warm and genuine, and both the dining and overall atmosphere were excellent. The hotel has a distinctive style that makes it stand out among other Hyatt properties we’ve stayed in.

We are very happy we chose to spend these days here and hope to return one day — perhaps next time with friends.

Highest value hotel we have stayed at in a long time, absolutely gorgeous with impeccable staff service. Most highly recommend.

We stayed at another hotel around the corner but had breakfast here most days, as our hotel had a lackluster buffet. We should’ve stayed here even though it was more expensive. Beautiful verandah overlooking the Zanzibar channel for meals and drinks, pool at one end, unobstructed views of the sunsets. The hotel’s common areas are gorgeous and we enjoyed just walking around the property and looking at it. Stunning woodwork!

Very good stay. You can always trust Park Hyatt for their great service. The only small annoying thing is that the beach is not private to the hotel, so theres a lot of fishing boat and random people on the beach. Otherwise the massage was great and the breakfast was tasty! Highly recommend !
