Important information:

The hotel is serving, breakfast and small lunch and dinner. Breakfast is served daily from 7.30 until 10.30. For guests who booked a rate including breakfast, we would be pleased to assist with pre-booking your table in our restaurant. Please contact us for assistance.
Kindly note that for guests who have booked a rate excluding breakfast, we will review your request subject to availability, the price for breakfast is £40.00 per person for our Full English Breakfast and £25 per person for Continental Breakfast.

Lunch is served from 12pm until 5pm. Afternoon Tea is served from 3pm until 5pm and would need to be pre-booked 24hours in advance.

Dinner is served from Tuesday until Thursday from 6pm until 9pm and Friday and Saturday from 6pm until 9.30pm. The restaurant is closed for dinner on Sundays and Mondays.

In-house guests will have complimentary access to the Bath House from 8am to 10am and from 7pm to 9pm daily. Access from 10am to 7pm will be exclusively reserved for guests who are having treatments in Spa Village or purchase the Spa Experience Access. Kindly note that children aged 15 years and younger are not allowed in the Spa Village.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.
Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.
Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian.

Fab hotel with all the trimmings to make your stay memorable. Delicious breakfast. Fab Facilities
Pros:

Location is perfect. Hotel is beautiful. Rooms are big and spacious and comfortable. Staff are very hospitable and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious. Spa was wonderful.

Great hotel if you get a good price - excellent breakfast but so-so spa.
Pros:

The room, service, location and breakfast were all great. However - it really depends on the price you pay. We were here in low season on a Thursday and got a very good deal considering breakfast and spa was included. However - the next day the price would have been more than double. I give the experience a 10 rating for the price/value ratio we got, but at double that price it would be more a 7 or 8, especially because of the spa.

Cons:

The spa did not really fulfill expectations. Facilities are ok but eg. no fruit, tea etc was provided. If you pay full price you will likely be disappointed, at least compared to the price/value ratio I am used to from Sweden, Hungary etc.

Excellent location, clean, great spa facilities. Suites need an update
Pros:

Second time at the hotel.spa facilities amazing. The suite could do with updating and practical changes such as dressing table, placement of mirror not on bathroom door etc.

Cons:

Suite needs to be updated to be more luxurious for the price as per other leading hotels

An indulgent weekend getaway for some well earned spa time.
Pros:

Room was spackous and comfortable. Amazing spa facilities that are free for 2x2 hours. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is amazing for the middle of Bath and as a base to explore.

Cons:

Our room was quite noisy - there isn't double glazing so lots of shouting in the night. But no noise from inside the hotel. The spa was quite crowded in the free sessions - not really surprizing considering they are so lovely - everyone wants to use them.

For our first time in bath, staying at the Gainsborough made it extra special.
Pros:

The staff were very welcoming. The spa village was amazing. The food in the restaurant was some of the best I’ve ever eaten.

The cost was a bit high

Nice hotel in a good location, but very expensive.
Pros:

Staff were very helpful, especially the concierge.

Cons:

The bar was very expensive and I didn’t like the service charges on every item on the bill eg accommodation. I chose not to add service in the tea room, but the tea charge then had service applied.
