Basic - but clean and functional.
Pros:

It was in a great location within easy walking distance distance from Paddington Station. I had a good size room with a large double bed and tea and coffee making facilities. it was very hot and they had kindly put a fan in the room.

Cons:

The bathroom felt very dated and had a fixed shower over a bath which wasn't very adjustable. There was a good amount of hot water though and I suppose I could have had a bath instead!

Très bon petit déjeuner
L’hôtel est très beau

Cons:

Le fait qu’il y ai que un petit ventilateur et pas de Clim vu la chaleur . On dormaient la fenêtre ouverte ce qui engendre beaucoup de bruit car la rue est passante.
La literie est dur

Pros:

係の皆さんはみんな気持ちよく丁寧に接してくれて、それがこのホテルの最大の良さだと思う。
自然豊かなハイドパークに隣接しているので、散歩が楽しめ、疲れも癒やされた。

Cons:

設備、備品等は今ひとつだが、気になる程ではなかった。

Familienzimmer im 3.stock von der grösse und Temperatur ok, ruhig weil nicht Straßenseite. Konnten nach 1 Nacht im familienzimmer 4.stock ( klein, unterm Dach, extrem heiss) in den 3. Stock wechseln)

Its location excellent for our needs . good public transport nearby and Oxford Street within walking distance. Quiet as set back from Bayswater Road. Close to small shops and cafes etc Felt safe

No air conditioning in rooms. But rooms large and beds very comfortable
Breakfast most disappointing. We knew it was ‘continental’ but it was very limited in offering - little quality protein- could at least have had a basket of boiled eggs. Cereal choice - cornflales, Rice Krispies or poor quality muesli. Slices of cheese and meat on plain tray - no garnish / salad / pickle or relish etc . plenty of bread / rolls etc and croissants warm and tasty. Tasty danish pastries also.

Es hat meine Erwartungen übertroffen.

Ich war schon in mehreren Hotels in London, The Columbia hat jetzt alles getoppt. Ein wunderschönes familienbetriebenes Hotel mit Geschichte und Charm. Die Lage ist perfekt zum Hyde Park. Personal extrem aufmerksam und nett. Das Bett und die Kissen waren super bequem, man fühlte sich wie zuhause. Das Bad ist noch original aus den 70ern, ist aber sehr gut gehalten und ziemlich sauber, von daher kann ich die negativen Bewertungen zu diesem Punkt nicht verstehen. Die Bar ist auch ein Erlebnis, und sie haben jeden Tag Happy Hour. Ich werde mit Sicherheit wieder The Columbia buchen bei meiner nächsten Reise nach London.

Es war alles prima, es gab überhaupt keine negativen Punkte.

Cons:

Ontbijt minimalistisch (geen English breakfast: geen eieren). Geen airco, wat bij zeer warme temperaturen onaangenaam is. Badkamer minimalistisch met ook zwakke douche.

Location was great and the staff was nice

Cons:

The pictures do not convey the general decapitations of the front facade. Rooms are heat soaked from a heatwave and even though the air just outside the window was around 15.5C at night, inside remained 26.6+ and the tiny fan provided could not be set up in a way to move hit air out or cool air in.
