Unsafe, unhygienic, and falling apart

This place cannot even be called a hotel; at best, it is a poorly managed bed and breakfast that does not meet the absolute minimum standards of hospitality. To start with, the front desk staff do not even speak basic English, making communication incredibly difficult. We felt completely unsafe during our stay because the room door was very hard to close, and the lock was so flimsy it barely held together. The room itself lacked basic amenities like a trash can, a kettle, beach towels, or even a hand towel. The bathroom was in terrible condition with a foul smell, a toilet that flushed yellow water, and no window or mosquito net - just shutters that anyone could easily peer through or enter.

The low standards of hygiene actually caused us severe stomach problems, which forced us to cut our stay short and insist on changing our accommodation. It is painfully obvious that this property is completely neglected and falling apart with zero investment. The breakfast was another disappointment; the orange juice was a cheap, diluted concentrate rather than fresh juice, the omelet was dry and mediocre, and they served pancakes with absolutely nothing to spread on them.

To top it off, the swimming pool was extremely dirty, so it was no surprise that it was completely abandoned by guests.

Thanks to Booking.com's intervention. However, despite all the clear complaints we made about the terrible conditions, they still had the audacity to tell us upon check-out that next time we should book directly through them instead of Booking.com. It is clear they completely missed the point and didn't realize that we were profoundly dissatisfied and would never dream of returning. Avoid this place if you value your safety and health.

CERCA DE TODO!

La ubicación es lo que más destaco, se encuentra a 15 minutos caminando Playa Ballenas muy linda y tranquila donde encuentran bares sobre la linea de playa y le da más vida, se escucha música y genera otro ambiente. Hacia la otra dirección a 30 minutos caminando está Playa Punta Poppy, también preciosa y más tranquila, sin tantos bares.
El centro de Las Terrenas también se encuentra a unos pocos minutos a pie, lo que lo hace ideal para poder acceder a bares y restaurantes.
Las instalaciones del hotel son buenas, baños grandes y habitación cómoda, tal como se muestra en las fotos.
El desayuno se pide por medio de un Menu, el cual es bastante completo y podes pedir todas las opciones que quieras, si bien lo hacen en el momento lo traen a la mesa bastante rápido.
El hotel cuenta con pileta, no hicimos uso pero se la veía en buenas condiciones.
Podemos destacar el buen trato, es para el personal de limpieza, siempre estaba dispuesto a ayudar y te saludaba con una sonrisa.
La relación precio/calidad es termino medio. Si buscas mayor categoría y más atención no es el lugar indicado, si buscas un lugar para dormir y empezar el día con un desayuno es más acertado.

Cons:

Con respecto al trato del personal, era muy variado. Algunos te trataban bien pero la gran mayoría no. Una mañana pedimos agua caliente en un termo y el dueño del hotel le preguntaba de forma insistente en Francés (cuando nosotros hablamos en español y claramente el dueño y la recepcionista también) a la recepcionista para que lo queríamos, estando nosotros presentes (daba la sensación que no querían que entendiéramos que estaban ellos hablando, sobre nuestra petición) lo cual, no es muy agradable.

We loved staying here! Great staff, centrally located but quiet.
Pros:

Perfectly located, less than a block from the beach, and a very short walk to both Playa Bellena and Punta Popy, and lots of great restaurants. Esmeralda was so kind, friendly, and helpful. The room had a back terrace that walked out to the pool. Plenty of off-street parking. And breakfast was great!

Cons:

It’s quite cute, though don’t expect a perfectly spotless room for the price. It was clean but there was a little mold on the A/C unit, and some dirty old grout, and no place to put toiletries in the shower. But on the whole very worth it for the price.

Estadia sensacional em uma região maravilhosa!
Pros:

Ótimo local para quem vai se hospedar na região do Samana! O hotel é super confortável, os quartos são espaçosos, a varanda é super grande e dá para uma vista da piscina. Os banheiros são compactos, mas bem organizados. O café da manhã é a la carte, mas muito bom e bem servido. Em um dos dias tivemos um passeio e pedimos um "lunch box" para viagem, o Hotel nos atendeu com o maior prazer. Há ótimos restaurantes nas proximidades e uma praia mais tranqula. Tem um mercado na frente local com ótimos preços e do lado um mais turista e com caixa eletrônico. Atendimento sensacional por parte do Staff do Hotel. Super recomendo !

Cons:

O chuveiro é muito baixo (1,60), então para quem vai tomar banho, tem que tomar cuidado. A varanda dos quarto dão para o estacionamento, então por vezes era possível ouvir carros chegando e saindo. Questões apenas pontuais.

Excelente pileta, buen desayuno, personal amable, habitaciones amplia. Tal vez un poco más cerca de pueblo de pescadores hubiese sido mejor para moverse caminando, pero no estaba mal

Cons:

Había dos muchachas en la pileta con un parlante conectado a su auto con música muy fuerte y nadie dijo nada desde el hotel. Tal vez me esté poniendo viejo!
