Helt ok Hotel knappt 2km.från centrum. Trevlig personal ok rum. Gratis lånecyklar. Frukost ingick trots att jag inte hade bokat det. Mycket lugnt område. Kan rekommendera.

Great hotel for the price.

The hotel is not really near anything - about a 2km walk from the main area, but excellent quality and service along with value easily make up for the location.

Decent place - but about 1.6 km away from market
Pros:

The Rama Residence was a very quiet hotel during our 2-night stay. We swear that we were the only ones staying on our floor the first night! The bed was very comfortable (the best we have had in Thailand yet) and it was nice to have a mini fridge in the room. One bath towel and the bath mat had slight stains on it upon our arrival. Do note that this hotel is about 1.6 km (1 mile) away from the bus terminal and from the evening market part of town so you can either take a taxi (about 60-70 baht) or walk. We found an amazing restaurant just two doors away from the hotel (has a buddha shrine on the wall) and that was definitely a highlight of our stay there. We also did take a full-day tour of the highlights in and around Chiang Rai through VIP tours (the brochure was at the hotel) and that was well worth the price!
