Rien
Nothing
This was a horrible night at this hotel in Fort-de-France. I had spent a three night stay at a resort outside the capital city, and I only had two nights to spend in Fort de France, so I chose this hotel. I regretted it very much and right on the following day I checked out. When i arrived and checked in, It was early afternoon and the room that I was shown seemed quiet at first. However, it was a very small room without a fridge nor a safe, although the air conditioning was working properly.
Unfortunately, during the night, this room turned out to be probably the loudest in the entire hotel. It was overlooking the park and directly underneath the hotel there was either a bar or a disco, I am not exactly sure, but loud music was playing all night long. I practically did not sleep at all.
Another major problem I faced was related to my diabetes. I was travelling with insulin and several insulin pens that needed refrigeration. There was no refrigerator in the room which created a serious issue.
I will never return to such a hotel. Unfortunately, during my travels across four Caribbean countries for the first time, I found that many of the five star hotels were charging extremely high prices and, in my opinion, were overpriced and beyond my budget. On the other hand, the budget hotels, usually costing around one hundred euros per night, often provide this type of experience, tiny rooms without refrigerators, without safes, and with very limited comfort. The photos you see are NOT what the actual rooms look like!!!
I will never return to this hotel and for anybody who values comfort, I would strongly recommend staying away from it.
Magnifique!!
Perfect location, good price. It is an old, but iconic building, with old style furniture. The personnel is very nice. Great if you just spend there one night before your flight/departure.
The smell in the room was not so pleasant. The room was very tiny, so it is suitable for not more than 1-2 days maximum. The insulation was not the best, so there was some noise. The view was to the inner part of the building, and there was only a very tiny window. We did not spend there much time though.
Ok pour une nuit
La situation
Elegante e in centro ,hotel pulitissimo e personale cortese
Check in non prima delle 16, troppo tardi
Pros: location in city center
Cons: there was no running water during our stay so we couldn’t shower, flush toilets, etc. Hotel didn’t know when the issue will be fixed and didn’t provide proper support besides a few bottles of water. Also, as we stayed on Saturday night, there was very loud music in the park in front of the hotel until midnight. Rooms were small and basic and outdated, with broken chairs in the balcony and overall run down. We would NEVER stay here again.
