Casa de la Luna - ISLA DEL SOL

The accomodation has a fantastic view onto the lake and certainly offers a great base for exploring the island.

Room - spacious, comfy bed and large bathroom. Shower was luke warm as it uses a small electrical shower head to heat the water but it does the job.

Breakfast - consisted of bread and eggs like most places and was really nice (do note the time is wrong on booking.com as they only serve it between 8am and 9am) - no other food options during the day but other restaurants are within 5 minutes walking.

Owner/Staff - very little English spoken however with the help of Google you'll be fine. They were all very nice and accommodating.

Location - in a good position however top recommendation ... do not bring your big bags (just day bags with essentials) as its a killer walking up from the port to the village via the Inca steps. Trust me - bring small bags only!

Summary - if they sort out room amenities for warmth and comfort then it would be fantastic. It is better than many in the village but just needs a few bits more...

I rented 2 rooms on my stay, they were very large/spacious and clean. Breakfast was a very nice touch and the view was just stunning.

Un lugar muy acogedor y tranquilo, la atención de su anfitriona de lujo.

Overall: Nice. But there are better options for a better price.

A localização é acima da grande escadaria de quando se entra na parte sul da ilha, o que torna menos cansativo ir e vir. Fui privilegiada com uma vista linda para o lago, tudo muito limpo e bonito, aquecedor, bom café da manhã e equipe gentil. Recomendo.

We were greeted by name by our hostess, Señora Domitila, as we walked up to Casa de Luna... it is quite a hike from the port with multiple stops to rest due to the altitude. Go straight up and to the right (multiple times) and ask a few people where Casa de la Luna is on the way. The hotel is beautiful with a stunning view of the lake. Our room was large and comfortable. WIFI is spotty but that is the case for the entire island. Breakfast was eggs fruit bread juice and a warm beverage in a large room with a wall of windows looking out at the view. Despite the cold and rainy weather we really enjoyed our stay.

Located at the entrance of Yumani, this b&b offered exactly what is said: a clean room with a nice view and a private bathroom and not much else. No electricity on the island the 1st night so no heat and no hot water but plenty of warm blankets. Despite the electrical working the next day, hot water remained elusive.. and internet remained theoretical. Friendly but disengaged staff, room was not “cleaned” during our stay. For $49/night you may be able to do better on the island. Did not disappount but nothing to get excited about. Good, repetitive, breakfast.

A stunning spot but be aware it's a hike to this hotel and cases would be too heavy so just take a small pack.

The hotel doesnt have any information to how get into, we arrived at night time and was very hard to find it, and no lights or signs we had to ask and walk for an hour to find it. the room wasnt the one i booked, i booked a queen bed room and they give me a triple room, the room has lamps missing, like was the light bulb with cables and the bathroom need to be finished like have no door on the shower. i cant took hot shower and the calefaction at same time, but still have a beatiful view, a really good breakfast and the lady at the hotel was very friendly.

i hope next time i come to the hotel is better.

- pas de pression dans la douche (3 mini filets d'eau)
- pas de wifi
- pas de service (lobby fermé en permanence)

Room was cold
Hot water was not working
Wifi only in the common area. Does not work most of the time
Terrible mastress.
Tenant did not to accommodate us and required us to leave the room at 10 am
Expense for the service
The only positive note is the view from the room
