Nice old world hotel with a quality feel about it. A good restaurant with a variety of local dishes.
Pros:

A good location in an old world hotel. A very nostalgic feeling about it.
Very quiet rooms at the back of the hotel which dont have a view but you cant hear the traffic or noise from other guests.

Cons:

No tissues in a suite.

A truly historic place to stay
Pros:

The room, building, history and food made this a very good place to stay. It is iconic in Punta Arenas and for good reason.

Cons:

Our welcoming was not what you'd expect and the staff didn't always look happy, but it got better during our stay and we enjoyed the hotel.

Beautiful building. Perfect location, but loud and avoid the 2nd floor suite explicitly
Pros:

The building is beautiful. The suites on the 3rd floor are lovely--Do NOT get the suite or a room on the second floor. Breakfast was good. The restaurant was surprisingly good, if you could laugh at the over the top descriptions. And the Location is perfect--if you bring earplugs.

Cons:

We booked on Booking.com, for 2 suites shown as high ceiling large rooms. One of the suites was for friends. After our stay we found out their room had very short ceilings, a much much smaller suite (small), an odd floor plan where when you walked you you faced into the closet. We were very embarrassed at the end of the trip once we saw their room and then they saw ours. During booking there was no hint that both rooms were not the same large, high ceiling suites. Last although the location is ideal, unfortunately the local souped up cars with loud exhaust race and rev their engines every night until 2 to 3 AM making some of the rooms very noisy.
