AC unit leaked brought to management attention and did nothing. Never once in 5 days come clean the room. We had to take our own trash out and get our own bath towels.

Perfect for a night
Pros:

Driving across country & needed a place to shower/sleep for the night. All the hotels in Des Moines were 2-3x the price & had terrible reviews. AmericInn was clean, conveniently located, and easy. Thank you!

Cons:

The sheets were dirty. One bed sheet had what appeared to be a fresh blood stain on the sheet. The bed had white stain/markings of unknown origin. They did give us a different room. The beds are not comfortable and the AC was loud. Not worth the little bit of savings from a neighboring hotel.

Seemed ok for how cheap it was
Pros:

Cleaner and nicer than I expected

Cons:

Ice machine was not working during my stay. Also some Indian guy with a master key tried coming into my room while I was laying in bed watching tv saying he was with “room service” at 6:30 in the afternoon without knocking. He just yelled “room service” and tried pushing the door open. I would have believed that he was there to make the bed and cleanup or whatever but all that had already been done while I was out working so just make sure you lock the security latch before you call it a day so they don’t walk in on you too.

Disappointing
Pros:

Breakfast was serviceable. The person at the front desk was very nice.

Cons:

The room had a used vinyl glove from the cleaning staff left in the room as well as a used pillow case. The pillows (if you would call them that) were so thin that they were barely usable. There was no do not disturb tag, and there was no suitcase stand.

Perfect for our needs, Great people
Pros:

Personal top notch, super friendly and professional. Best accommodation for the price. Pool and hot tub excellent after long day will use them every time we visit family. Younger kids we visited begged to get to stay with us next time

Cons:

There was nothing we didn't like all was perfect even continental breakfast was betterthan other place we have stayed

Good for the price
Pros:

The location and price were good. The room was clean.

Cons:

The room felt very damp, especially the carpet and bedding. We found a 'dry' setting on the AC unit and that seemed to help after a few hours.
The breakfast was a little disappointing.
