Categories

Cleanliness
9
Multiple reviewers repeatedly describe the property as very clean, with new carpeting and good housekeeping; cleanliness is a strong positive.
Service
8.6
Staff is frequently described as friendly and helpful (moved a guest when AC failed), but there are a few service failures (poor handling of a chirping smoke detector, limited compensation) that slightly reduce the score.
Location
9
Several guests cite the convenient location (close to ISU, restaurants, gas), making location a clear strength.
Room Quality
7.2
Rooms are often comfortable and spacious, but recurring issues (AC not cooling well, chirping smoke detector, deadbolt not latching, broken shower control, occasional uncomfortable bed) lower this rating.
Amenities
8.2
Amenities like the pool/spa and ample breakfast offerings are appreciated, though breakfast space congestion and minor issues (odd coffee cup odor) temper the score.
Value for Money
8.4
Multiple guests say the stay was worth the price or great value; overall value aligns with the target overall rating.
Food and Beverage
9
Breakfast is repeatedly praised as ample and very good (some call it the best hotel breakfast they've seen), though space can be crowded.
Overall Experience
7.8
Most stays are described as enjoyable and guests would stay again, but a few serious negative incidents (malfunctioning smoke alarm and handling of it) reduce the overall experience score.

Pros:

The beds and rooms were very comfortable!

Cons:

Our smoke detector was chirping all night. We had let the property know that the detector needed new batteries when we arrived and we thought they had replaced them! However, the detector continued throughout the entire night, so we got very little sleep! We expressed our concerns when we checked out the next morning, hoping they might compensate us in some way. They said since we made the reservations via Booking.com, they really couldn't do much and didn't seem concerned about the issue!

Pros:

Convenient and comfortable. Everything works fine. The staff is very friendly. I came with my son to university, and this hotel was very convenient. When we checked in and discovered the air conditioning wasn't working, the receptionist quickly moved us to another room.

We had an overall good stay and the room was clean.
Pros:

We liked the location being close to nearby restaurants and things to do.

Cons:

Our room ac wasn't the best. It didn't cool as well as we had hoped, but it wasn't the worst.
