Excellent hotel for a short break in the centre of Grenoble!
Pros:

Perfect location in the old town centre and a short walk to the cable car and shops. Excellent breakfast. Very good restaurants nearby.

Pros:

Hôtel plutôt sympathique - Le personnel est très bien - bonne literie - bon petit déjeuner

Cons:

Le bruit des passages du tram qui circule à proximité (isolation de la chambre très moyenne) ; des fruits (frais) au petit -déjeuner seraient un plus.

Cons:

We were allocated bedroom 109 for two nights. It does not comply with the description** given by Booking.com (below).
Frankly it is substandard - it was totally inadequate and was most definitely not what we booked or paid for.

It is a horrible room with a broken chair, opaque windows, no view (of anything), no balcony, dirty carpet, cracked tiles etc. Bitten badly by some insect shortly after sitting in the rickety chair. The lighting was appalling and the colour scheme revolting. There was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. There was no fire safety information in the room, for example an evacuation plan.

It was by far the worst hotel room we have ever experienced.

After complaining to reception, we were relocated to a much better room on the top floor (after having to spend one night in the nighmare room), and this is of the quality we expected in the first place. We should not be charged for the horrible, substandard room 109 and we need to be reimbursed for that one night - 134€

Cons:

El mantenimiento del edificio deja mucho que desear. Por fuera es una edificio muy bonito, pero dentro no está cuidado. La habitación muy pequeña.

Die Lage ist sehr zentral, die Zimmer zweckmässig und ok. Preis-Leistung stimmt.

Accueil extraordinaire ( mention spéciale pour le réceptionniste à la moustache-bienveillance, humour, disponibilité...)
tout le personnel est charmant, disponible et efficace...
le petit-déjeuner est simple mais complet avec des produits de qualité
l'insonorisation est très efficace (tram dans la rue)
