The Wind Song Resort is owned and operated by Alouette Beach Resort, so it’s no surprise that the staff is consistently friendly, courteous, and helpful.
The best units are #3 (king bed) and #4 (same layout with a queen) on the ground level, along with units #9 and #10 on the second floor. These are the true beachfront units—the ones with the unbeatable, panoramic views. We stayed in Unit 3 and enjoyed an unobstructed, million‑dollar view of the beach. Whether sitting at the dining table or relaxing in bed, the scenery was always spectacular and constantly changing. Beach access is only about 10 feet from the door, making it effortless to bring out our lawn chairs and sun tent for the day.
Housekeeping comes by every morning and is thorough, attentive, and reliable. The room itself is small but well equipped, and the bed is very comfortable. The compact kitchen includes a hot plate, microwave, and all the utensils and cookware needed to prepare simple meals. The bathroom is small but perfectly adequate for the two of us.
We’ve stayed in other Alouette Beach Resort units before, but after this wonderful four‑night stay in Unit 3, we’re completely sold on returning to Wind Song again and again for the perfect beach vacation.
Well done, Fred and Jessica!
Nice staff, nice location
My sliding glass door did not have a lock on it. My room needed to be changed. In the middle of the night, my lights went out. I was told I could have complementary breakfast in the morning by the front staff, and when I went for it. They said they don’t do it on weekends. I paid $130 for the room so it was disappointing.
Location
Cleanliness
Welcoming owners
L'acceuil formidable avec un traitement spécial sur la chambre choisie et le déjeuner compris, qui a été apprécié de notre part. Un endroit à recommander!!!
Je ne vois pas
the beach.. the breakfast right on the property.
The coffee was not my favorite. I’m a coffee snob.. love my keurig !!
Friendly staff and yummy breakfast!
Clean, amazing location and friendly staff
Right on the ocean.
Staff accommodated a room change.
The bed was very small for 2 people
The room (I think it was called a luxury room) was spacious and clean. There were not many choices for our dog staying with us off season - the other room was way too small and after many years the local Ramada no longer takes pets - and so while the luxury one was more expensive they gave us a reasonable price break. Also being very near the beach and off-season it was where we could take the dog out for evening and morning walk.
The sofa (for watching tv) could have been more comfortable but that's not what we were there for. The main problem was the soft mattress. Might have been fine for many guests, but one of us needs a firm mattress for our back. Most modern hotels have firmer mattresses. A bad backache the whole next day - and we decided not to stay the second night. We did not expect a refund and we were not offered one. It's the chance you take with many Maine resorts, not unique to this one. Also booking.com did not make it clear the room we reserved was not a pet friendly room. That is on booking.com not the Alouette who did their best to accomodate us.
When air conditioner failed, it was replaced. When smoke alarm went off someone fixed it quickly. We have stayed before a few times and were pleased with our room.
No place to sit in room. The charge for the room seemed way too much for the room even it being economy.
It was understandably busy, due to the holiday. We went elsewhere.
We were lucky to get a room on such short notice. Next year we will reserve a room on the first floor.
