The staff is pathetic doesn’t know how to speak in English not even a single person speak english in this hotel. And the room is stinky dirty and the shocking part is AC was not working in any room i changed 2 and they say to open the window if you are feeling hot. This is not a hotel this is a PG house. Strange never recommend any one who are coming for leisure and business and ruin there vacation.

I have been coming to this hotel since it opened and they have always looked after me fabulously, but they have outdone themselves on my latest trip. I have missed my trips to JiMo during COVID, but having not visited for +3 years Coby, senior management and all of the team have gone the extra mile to ensure my guest and I have been made as welcome as possible. Despite normal services not having resumed fully they have made special arrangements to meet all of our needs. Thanks to everyone for such great service 😃

Really a high standard hotel out of the ordinary, definitely will come back to this amazing hotel, excellent breakfast. Room is very clean and confortable, air condition is working good and make you fell really good.

Staying in Jimo was not on our itinerary but it was well worth the stay. The area Double Tree is located in is close to the railway station and a few small malls.

Four of us (my wife, two young sons, and me) stayed for a night at the start of August 2020.

Some excellent things:
Lovely room
Very tasty food
Nice swimming pool

Other things:
Many of the staff seemed angry all the time. I was told that this might be because of the local dialect, but it seemed strange. Nevertheless, I was very happy with the duty manager we spoke with.
The hotel is lovely, but far from most tourist attractions.

The VIP lounge was closed when we were there, but the hotel offered us a take-away from the evening buffet --- I was a bit surprised that they preferred this to us actually joining the buffet, but that's OK.

If in the area again, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Doubletree Jimo is the perfect example of how international brands deteriorate in the hands of the Chinese...

I’ve stayed at this hotel 10 times, good service gone now, with over 10 different issues!
1. Front desk Staff took 15 minutes to locate my reservation
2. Ordering room service... the burger arrived 50 minutes later, completely cold!!
3. Phone operator stubbornly refused connecting me to an English-speaking staff for over 10 minutes, while my (already. cold!!!) food room service was being held due to language issues
4. My hotel bathroom ran out of toilet paper. Nobody cared to check
5. Cleaning staff didn’t refill my shower gel and shampoo in the bathroom. They must remember - foreigners shower with soap, not just with water!
6. Despite the non-smoking signs, there were cigarette buds near the lift on my floor. 10 hours later, they were still there, nobody caring to clean them!
7. Breakfast floor - it’s a standard for the receiving waiter to ask if guests want coffee or tea. The Chinese stuff didn’t bother - just left me waving my hands, which everyone ignored.
8. When leaving the restaurant - no goodbyes. Chinese staff were busy playing with their phones...

Came here on recommendation of local business. Was given a suite at cost of £95 a night. Large lounge and separate large bedroom. Room was clean and comfortable with no issues. Some staff spoke English so communication was fine. Local area is just that so get a flavour of non tourist China. Restaurant for Chinese food was excellent when I had a meal with colleagues in a private room. Breakfast was fine, mostly local style food but as a westerner I was able to find things to my taste. Overall good place to stay cost effectively if coming to Northern Qingdao.

We travel for work. This hotel service was extremely slow. Drink items at the bar were not available. What was available did not taste well. Not planning on returning to this hotel in the future. The beds are very uncomfortable and did not sleep well.

Booked this hotel unknowingly as was looking to stay nearer to the airport due to an early morning flight. Didn't know that it is in what the locals considered to be a suburban area of qingdao.

But the hotel does deliver in terms of comfort and service. Was greeted with a cookie on arrival. And even gave us one when we checked out early as we didn't have breakfast yet. Really nice gesture from them.

At the price, one can't really complain on the location. If you are looking for an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city yet wanting comforts, this hotel is for you.

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights for our 9 days trip to Shantung, first 3 nights after arriving Qingdao and last night before departing Qingdao, the location of the hotel is near to airport but too far from city centre, overall services were up to expectation but hotel need to improve their safe deposit box's maintenance, on both occasions of checking in, we found the safe deposit box in the room could not be used, and the hotel staffs tried to convince us to keep our valuables at the reception area, after we insisted to use the deposit box in the room, they took a long time to send someone to rectify it, we felt disappointed on arrivals after travelling long journeys .

Upon checking in the hotel wanted 1000 yuan for a deposit, i didnt know why? I asked about the morning breakfast that was included in my booking, and they said no, my room does not qualify for the free breakfast. Then i find out we cant use the pool due to maintenance, this was the main reason we wanted tgis hotel! Upon checking out they didnt want to give me my deposit back. They argued with me about needing to pay more. I explained i already paid through the internet, why do i need to pay 1000 yuan more? I finally demanded my 1000 yuan back which they unhappily agreed.

We check in late around midnte 12. The female staff struggling to put my 3 guests a room each. I am on businees trip 4 persons 4 rooms. In future if you booked many rooms for your guests , please pay attention, you might face difficulty as mine. Hope the management will improve it. Tq.

I must give this hotel the very highest review. I was upgraded to a suite on arrival which is obviously very nice. But the staff are just fantastic. Most speak some English which is a great help given my very poor Mandarin. And they can’t do enough to help you - they opened the buffet in the exec lounge early this evening just for me! And talking about the exec lounge, what a view! The pool is great, the gym well equipped. There is even a steam room (closed for maintenance at the moment), a super little sauna and a basic jacuzzi. Everything is spotlessly clean and pretty new. Breakfast was quite Chinese focused but that’s fine, this is China after all! The room I have is obviously very spacious. But it is also well equipped with two TVs, safe, lots of power sockets and even an electronic loo! The bed is very comfortable. The views from the 18th floor were great.

There are banks right next door and a selection of shops including a 24 hr convenience store.

I am struggling to find criticism. It is true that the bedrooms are a bit warm as a previous reviewer said, but if you close any curtains on the south side of the building it’s fine. If you need downtown Qingdao it’s not well placed, but great for the government offices and for factories to the north.

A real gem. Well done to all the staff here, you’re doing a great job. I am very much looking forward to the rest of my stay.
