Served its purpose for a night stay close to many walkable places
Pros:

I loved the old historic building and the staff were all so friendly . When we checked in we were escorted to our room and that was a first for me and a nice touch. Really enjoyed the bagel shop inside the inn. Enjoyed being able to walk around Schenectady and being close to where my son is going to school as we were moving him in to school.

Cons:

I only stayed 1 night and it served its purpose. When I went to shower that night unfortunately the shower had hair inside the tub/shower in many places — and it wasn’t my hair . That was gross. Actually the next morning we ran into someone mopping who told us she was the only housecleaner for the whole hotel- she was so proud of her work and she was very sweet and I couldn’t bring myself to complain to her lol unfortunately I do think she has to many rooms to do herself to really take her time and clean them. Side note the towels were so fluffy and nice after that shower I had !

I like the manager or owner, I don’t know his relationship to the inn, but he is an Angel.. Zacharia is his beautiful name

Pros:

The staff was very nice and welcoming. The iced coffee from the coffee shop was some of the best I've ever had. Overall a very good experience.

A great historic building with potential but room for improvement in management.
Pros:

The historical character of the building and the generally well-appointed rooms, although the air unit blowing through the window to preserve the building's external architectural character was noisy.

Cons:

Hot water took 5-10 minutes to warm. While the staff was accommodating, the large building was deserted, with music playing, giving it a haunted feel. Also, some of our sheets had deep tears in them.

Without a doubt our best stay on our 2 month holiday in USA - highly recommend

What a beautiful historical place to stay, that has been so meticulously restored to make a very comfortable cosy hotel room, with a comfortable bed.

Pros:

Gorgeous inn, newly renovated, located in a beautiful historical district. Convenient access to Schenectady's Stockade neighbourhood and Jay Street. Lovely café on the premises.

Pros:

In the beautiful historic Stockade District, it is close to all important sites. The building is very charming and the room clean and comfortable with a gigantic comfy bed.

Pros:

Love the unique history of this property. Our room was very spacious, clean, bright, and comfortable. Also appreciated being able to securely store our bikes inside the building. Very walkable to restaurants, a breakfast cafe, and the historical district. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

A much more interesting place to stay for low-maintenance adults than a big-box hotel.
