Spoke to the owner at check in, he told me that he had just acquired this property. He was thoughtful, friendly and informative.

Comfortable and friendly, great Route 66 experience.
Pros:

This old fashioned single floor motel was great! Just backed up our car and loaded everything into the room. So convenient. The owners are friendly and take great pride in the property. Coffee, fridge, microwave, ice, good TV, breakfast snack including homemade muffins. Better than most big chain hotels.

Nothing. It was great.

Great place only 30 miles from Amarillo, for less than half the price of the hotels there
Pros:

Older Route 66 type hotel, but very clean with a great couple running it.
Remember to go in to get your home made muffins and fruit in the morning.

Pros:

The owners just bought this place. They are the nicest people. They are in process of fixing up the place. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. And it was really quiet. We have stayed here several times. And will come back again.
The town isn't anything to write home about but we like getting a little further down the road than Amarillo on our trek west to California from Arkansas.
We ate at Roosters and it was good food.

Cons:

The place needs better curb appeal but the new owners are trying really hard. They said the priority is to fix their living space and then the rooms. That's not a negative for me though.

Property was not a chain. It looked like a mom and pop operation, staff was super nice and helpful

An excellent hotel. Great value for money.
Pros:

The bed was incredibly comfortable. I slept for a full eight hours straight. I’ve been on a two-week business trip, and this was the most comfortable bed I’ve slept in.

Cons:

The bathroom exhaust fan was too loud. I arrived at 11:30 PM, so I showered with the lights off to avoid disturbing the neighbors.
