Rootsy, clean, and comfortable Pacific Beach lodging at great value
Pros:

Excellent location in PB. Steps to the boardwalk and nearby to restaurants and grocery store. Family vibe and low key accommodation--nothing glizty but just a great value and hope it stays that way! We've stayed in PB dozens of times, and this is now one of our go-to locations. Love the ping-pong tables and hang out areas. Appreciate being able to hear the ocean at night when sleeping. Ceiling fan a plus.

Cons:

Somewhat dated fixtures and smaller room, but who cares when you are on the beach! Shared balcony in hotel rooms: we had very talkative neighbors who were out there all day, but were at least quiet at night. A pad on the lounge chair would have been nice. Screen door for balcony didn't lock which made me a little hesitant to keep open at night. Minimal issues.

Pros:

The rooms were clean but dated. Proximity to beach was good.

Cons:

I was under the impression our unit had a view of the beach. Instead we were in North building that only had a view of the building in front of it. Homeless lingering in parking carports.

Noise. but worth it to be so close to the beach. You will hear people enjoying the cafe and folks reveling on a night out.

Also nowhere to get access to drinking water except by a favor from front desk staff .

No beach towels or chairs for guest use.

Pros:

Rooms were very spacious,beds were comfy, everyone was very kind and helpful and it’s right on the beach with lots of food options nearby!

Cons:

No air conditioning took a minute to get used too

Loved the location for beach proximity but the outside party noise was a little too much for us old folks. :)
Pros:

Proximity to the beach. Couldn’t be closer.

Cons:

The property itself was great. However, There was a scheduled maintenance by SDGE that made us lose about 5 hours of power overnight - the property didn’t tell us or warn us that this was going to happen. Chalked it up to “we didn’t think it would matter since it was at night when everyone was sleeping”. But we couldn’t sleep because they were jackhammering, sawing, removing and replacing a power pole just outside our balcony. We weren’t given the opportunity to save money and not stay an uncomfortable night. We weren’t apologized to. No discount. It was scheduled maintenance, the property knew. The bar attached to the property knew. It was a very greedy move to not warn us or give us an opportunity to stay elsewhere that night. Or at least offer some compensation.

Good enjoyable stay
Pros:

Location, size of apartment, very comfy beds including pull out couch in lounge, view, parking for visitors allowed, dishwasher, daily room clean and towels/bedding if needed.

Cons:

Noise from local bars at night so slept on pull out lounge bed which was peaceful.
