De mooie rustige locatie en de fijne kamer

The history of this place is awesome (would have appreciated English history guides/signs) and I love how they have architecturally developed the ruins using very modern features rather than trying to recreate what has been lost. Breakfast in the vaulted dining room was special, and I enjoyed looking at the displayed historical artefacts such as the continuous family seals dating from 1400s to 1914.
Comfortable room in coach house, lovely bathroom. Very comfortable beds.
Promised secure parking for motorcycle but asked to leave it outside the courtyard. Area is very quiet so risk of theft is very low so not a big issue.
Excellent petit dejeuner, personnel tres professionel.

La situación y el entorno excelentes, bellísmos árboles, naturaleza muy especial, entorno ideal, lugar histórico con mucha personalidad, poco convencional, pero ojo con los mosquitos. Lugar muy agradable, fuera de lo común. Oscuridad completa en la zona por la noche, cosa que es de agradecer,
Había mosquitos y quizá se oye un poco la carretera cercana, pero aún así el lugar era tranquilísimo. No hay restarante (lo que puede ser una ventaja).

Good breakfast in Old Castle building provided by helpful staff in the morning , the shower was good in the shower room.
Initial check in was brief for example we were not shown the room .which turned out to be within the converted stable block some distance from the castle, this was very different from what appeared on the site photographs. .
The room was very small ,stuffy, with a very small window, it was particularly hot and no fan was offered or provided . Access to room was via an un even stair case, beware the top step which is much larger than all the others and caused us to trip up on a number of occasions.
The TV our room was positioned high up on top of wardrobe, and was difficult to watch. The soap dispenser did not work properly in both the shower or the sink.
The restaurant was not open for evening meal .However we found a good pizza place aprrox 20.minute walk away.
All in all not really what we had expected and the cost was not comparable to the quality of the accommodation which we have stayed in other parts of the country.which was a great pity..

Heerlijk verblijf door mooie locatie, zeer ruime kamer, fraai ingericht, en op korte afstand van allerlei leuke plaatsjes.
Le cadre, l'emplacement, l'endroit est très calme pour pouvoir se reposer.
Les chambres sont sobres mais propres et bien tenues.
Il n'y avait pas de climatisation durant mon séjour, il faisait très chaud pendant la nuit.
Hormis cela mon séjour était bien.
