My room was near smokers so had cig smoke in my room.

Excellent hotel in Old Historic Bagan
Pros:

A real paradise in the middle of Unesco world heritage Pagodas. Elegantly decorated confortable rooms. Beautiful pool and surrounding gardens. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Definitely recommend.

Amazing resort and well above expectations - use local tour guide: Min Thant (tastesofbagan.com)
Pros:

The staff is very friendly and helpful (like all Myanmar people!). The set up of the reosrt is beautiful with nice little 'houses' in great and well kept gardens. The swimming ppol was in good order and so was the overall property. The room was spacious and fortunately very clean. The resort spa was small, but of very high quality - excellent massage with superb price quality - take one every dauy before dinner! I found it difficult to find a good and safe hotel in Bagan with little (recent) proper reviews - hence also my more extensive review of this nice and 'great pick!' hotel. Location is excellent and very close to all sights. Breakfast also ok for Western travellers. I will certainly look to return with my family.

PS: I made use of a local tour guide: Min Thant of Tastes of Bagan (.com). I would highly recommend to book him! A very knowledgeable, friendly, enthousiastic and fluently English speaking guide (tastesofbagan.com / WhatsApp: +95 (0)9 2560 39745 / minthant903@gmail.com.We had a wonderful 1 1/2 day tour - on e-bike, best way to experience all the stupa's in nature - Just please book him (and say hello from me ;))!

Cons:

To be honest in the current situation in Myanmar - after covid + political unrest - the resort is in amazing good shape and hence no negative elements - if at all perhaps only a request to widen/vary the selection of fruits (currently 3 or 4 sorts) a bit more at breakfast (but that is also my personal preference / taste).

Just a wonderful experience in the best location
Pros:

Just a wonderful experience. The team, the food, the rooms and the location just perfect. I can highly recommend to stay here. The attention to detail and for the guest is very high. Great experience.

Cons:

Massage only until 6 pm (but most tours end with sunset and you will not make it). Occasionally there are ceremonies from 4/5 am in the morning with music nearby due to the great location. But was no problem with aircon on and windows closed.

It is a beautiful property

Cons:

Staff don’t really care, no management around. Not properly maintained - we git taken to 3 different rooms. The first - there was a leak from the roof, second - still had previous guests slippers, third the AirCon was really bad. We had no choice, so we moved the bed under the AC to he able to sleep some. We were suposed to stay 2 nights, left after 1.

Complete comfort which far exceeded my expectations.
Pros:

This hotel could be compared to hotels in first world locations. How they manage to maintain these standards post COVID post Coup in Myanmar I do not know.

Cons:

The only thing I would change at all would be a slightly more comfortable mattress.
