Best Western Endeavour Motel

I stayed here for three weekends in the past month, each time in a different room. Like my stay a few months ago, I found this motel is easily accessible from the main road. It is clean, neat, basic accommodation. The twin room is very compact, the small window means room is a little dark. The queen bedroom is a little more spacious and bright in comparison, with a larger window.
The basic necessities are covered – kettle, tea, coffee, microwave, wardrobe, couch, desk, tables and chairs, hairdryer. There is a communal laundry. There is plenty of parking right outside each accommodation in the open car park. There is very little storage space. Wi-Fi is slow but dependable. Upload 9.55Mbps, download 4.5Mbps.
The bed and shower is comfortable. Some rooms have stainless steel kettles and other rooms have plastic kettle. Two of the three rooms I have found the wash basin struggling to drain the water. Two of the three rooms were rather musty but I was able to open the window to let airflow in. Not much street noise as it’s set in from the road. Soundproofing isn’t great, so you may hear muffled voices talking or the tv next door. However, this is similar to many accommodations I have been to.
If you’re looking for basic dependable accommodation, give this a go. Being an older motel, it is a little in need of TLC though - cracks in the basin, missing vegetable crisper in the fridge, missing glass shelf above the basin, etc. But it is clean and neat, which is the main thing. The staff and manager/owner is absolutely fantastic. This is one reason I would not hesitate to return. Thank you, Ray and Joanne!

Restaurant not very good

Great little stop over for one or two nights. Rooms are clean and well maintained, there is a bar and cafe onsite and many dining and shopping options within 10 min drive. Would recommend.

Booking in was easy, has a Restaurant which served very nice meal. Room was basic but comfortable and parking available

Property looked clean but had a strong damp odour.

Expensive restaurant but food was nice, cafe was affordable and delicious, beds comfy, nice big clean rooms, great location, would stay again for sure.

The motel was clean, neat and tidy.

I stayed here for two nights for work. The motel is easily accessed from the main road. It is an older style motel. There is plenty of parking in front of each room as well as visitors parking. The accommodation is very compact, with a queen size bed, shower and bathroom, wardrobe, desk and dining table. My room also had a bar fridge and microwave in addition to kettle. Complimentary tea, coffee, sugar and cookies. Plenty of towels although not many places to hang them.
There is one air-conditioner servicing the entire space. There are extra pillows and blanket in storage, which I felt the need to use as the blanket on the bed was extremely thin.
There is minimal storage space and due to the compact nature of this accommodation, I would suggest this just for short-term stay.
There is free, unsecured Wi-Fi which is of reasonable speed. 13.5 Mb/ second download and 4.44 upload.
Despite being off the main road, there is minimal road noise. Thankfully my neighbours have been quiet. Soundproofing isn’t fantastic as I can hear people coughing next door, which thankfully isn’t very frequent. The loudest noise is when people come and go, with the front door opening and closing.
Overall impression is that despite being an older building with old furnishings, it is clean, neat and tidy. Just like a house that someone has lived in for 50 years, it cannot compare to a newly built house. So it would not be fair to compare this to a fancy hotel.
I wouldn’t hesitate to return as it is easy to access, parking is spacious and plentiful, and everything works. It’s basic accommodation that services its purpose without being unpleasant. Lovely front reception staff. Places that I rate poorly and wouldn’t return to include those with poor cleanliness, broken amenities (eg dangling light bulbs, broken blinds, etc), bad odours (mould, bleach, etc).

Kettle was rusty that I took it to the reception then they replaced it . Stayed 2 nights in the Easter term but I don’t choose again

Very clean. The staff were excellent. Room service food was delicious and delivered piping hot and quickly. Facility is aged and needs some basic maintenance, there was a tear in the carpet which was a trip hazard. The beds were comfortable and the air con worked beautifully. Overall I would recommend staying here for the cleanliness and comfort.

Room was comfortable and clean. Convenient for where I needed to go during my stay.
