Forodhani Park Hotel

This hotel is definitely not a 4-star property as advertised. The reception manager was not particularly friendly or welcoming, which made the experience less pleasant.
The rooms were ok with very few amenities.
That said, there are some positives. The breakfast was excellent, with fresh fruit and delicious local pastries offered each morning. Abdulhamid was especially helpful — he went out of his way to assist with organizing tours, and he provided useful tips and clear directions throughout our stay. The hotel is also centrally located and within walking distance of restaurants and Fordhani park, which is very convenient. Booking directly with the property or walking in can get you a cheaper rate.

Overall, while the location and breakfast were highlights, the hotel does not meet 4-star standards.

Great location and overall nice hotel for Zanzibar. Very close to tourist attractions, everything on walking distance. Clean and spacious rooms. Breakfast was limited but with amazing fruit selection

Vi havde kun en enkelt overnatning. Fint værelse og personalet var meget venlige. Dejligt med en lille pool på taget, der manglede dog parasoller så vi kunne komme i skygge. Ligger meget centralt i forhold til shopping og udflugter

위치 좋고 엘리베이터는 없지만 짐을 객실까지 올려줘서 좋았음.
발코니에서 흡연 가능하며, 술탄 유적지 뷰임.
방은 굉장히 넓고 에어컨 잘 나와서 쾌적함.
조식은 쏘쏘하나, 물+음료는 구매해야함. (기본 2병 제공되나 양이 적음)
옥상에 수영장은 매우 좁아서 성인 세명이 들어가면 꽉찰듯

두 가지 아쉬운 점은, 첫째 객실 열쇠고리가 너무 커서 들고다니기 불편함(프런트에 맡기는걸 추천)
둘째, 예고 없이 저녁시간에 객실에 들어와 모기약을 치고 커텐을 내리고 감;;

I don't recommend the hotel, bad service, bad breakfast, noisy. I arrived at 07:00 p.m. and the room was not ready, and they didnt give me any solution or any refund. I wanted to talk with the manager and he never appeared to talk with me.
So better go to another hotel, because this one is disgusting in all aspects.

Its a terrible hotel, the service bad, the breakfast was poor and everyday the same, the room was full of insects, the wifi didnt work properly.
Its super noisy all the day and night.
They enter to your room, when they want, without nocking at the door.

If you have a problem, they dont help to you.

They do the check in when they want, and you have to wait hours.

I dont recommend, we really had a bad experience.

Perfekt läge i Stone Town.
Precis bredvid gamla fortet, nattmarknaden på andra sidan vägen med alla små stånd och den underbara matmarknaden med tillagade läckerheter.
Gångavstånd till katedralen och gamla slavmarknaden.
Helt ok frukost, vi bad om omelett och den var utsökt. Går utmärkt att gå till färjeläget.

Nice hotel. Great location.They had a nice roof top but too bad no roof top bar.

We slayed at this hotel for almost two weeks. It is next to water front and one can enjoy the beautiful evenings at water front without loss of time. Further, one can make frequent visits in the streets of Stone houses. The Manager Mr. Abdullah was very helpful. He was always out to help us in any matter from finding a taxi or any other assistance needed. As one is next to the coast, a boat could be easily find to visit Prison Island. All sort of restaurants are next to the hotel Hotel itself offers good breakfast.

The hotel is across from Forodhani Gardens is in the centre of the action. The room is vintage in decor, very spacious, with a large comfortable and bed . The shower was also very vintage, but powerful, with lots of hot water. We enjoyed the hotel, room, and staff. Unfortunately, there was a marathon during our stay, so there was loud music in the gardens and Fort most of the night. But this was an exception and nothing against the hotel.

Proximity to the port

Great location for the walking tour, Old Fort, and Forodhani Gardens.

Their staff was great - making sure we could quickly grab a pizza before our walking tour. Breakfast in the morning was also good.

Unfortunately, we weren't made aware of the switch on the wall to turn on the water heater, so I had a cold shower in the morning.

Good location close to the Forodhani night market.
We couldn't sleep due to the noise outside from the other Air-condition, and from the people cleaning and preparing breakfast from 6am.

It was a really nice hotel overall, the staff were helpful and friendly and the rooms were big in size and comfortable.

Very gracious staff, excellent wifi (not so common in Stone Town)

Everything was good or even vert good, like the room 403 on top by the pool, EXCEPT the Wi-Fi up in the room totally sucked. The signal went in and out and when it was there, it was very weak.

But for the money I paid during low season overall, except the Wi-Fi it was a good value.

Die Reservierung lag trotz Bestätigung nicht vor. Trotz angegebener Rezeptionszeit war keine Person da die etwas entscheiden konnte.
Wir bekamen ein Zimmer neben dem Pool & unter der Dachterasse. Beides 24 Stunden geöffnet.Im Zimmer gab es kaum Wasser viele Mücken, und eine defekte Klimaanlage.
Für den Preis unverschämt, Gutschein und Rabatt gab es bis heute nicht, weil das Personal auch von der Kompensationdabsprache nichts wußte. Personsl uninteressiert und nicht kompetent. Viel Glück beim Aufenthalt

What a waste of money for a stay in stone town. The hotel is old, washroom pathetically dirty with rusted taps, room furniture old and not maintained. Our locker in the room didn’t work and even after repeated requests it was not repaired. We were given a choice to move to alternative room but they were of smaller size and with equally dirty washrooms. The breakfast is poor quality for the price paid and served in an open lobby without air conditioning. The hotel has not been renovated over the years and is now dirty. There was no hospitality professional and all issues were managed by a receptionist. Staff was not qualified, I’ll trained and definitely underpaid. Service was pathetically slow. Keep away as the online marketing and pictures of the hotel are misleading. We were a family with two kids and the kids were totally disgusted with the dirt in the room, washroom and over old furniture. Multiple complains were shamelessly ignored. The hotel is not even worth USD 50 a night. The worst experience in our post pandemic international travel.

We totally enjoyed our two days stay at this hotel, the superviser was very supportive and understanding since i had requested to use kitchen to prepare my babys food. Over all cleaness was maintained well and even breaskfast options were very good. I would always love to cum n stay thr if i come to znz again. Hands up to you guys
