Very nice hotel with character, very nice grounds, swimming pool and comfortable room. Very good service.
Breakfast was a bit too light
Easy
history, location
looked a bit tired . the room was very large, bed was very comfortable , duvet very nice. pillows were not up to standard - loose and flimsy. bathroom was nice , luxury electronic toilet was novel but unfortunately the flush did not work properly. needed multiple flushes. toilet floor was not spotless upon arrival.
Breakfast lovely, very good choices.
The room was too hot on arrival
Booked thsi hotel specifically because of pool facilities. The pool was freezing , not cold but freezing, so much we dared each other to get in
Lovely hotel and location and service
This hotel was booked mainly for the pool facilities but the pool was freezing, not cold but freezing . To the point we were daring each other to go in. Really disappointing
The staff were excellent very friendly and welcoming. John deserves a special mention as he couldn’t do enough to make our stay as pleasant as possible! The room was very comfortable overall.
The one negative was at breakfast the next day. There was a wedding party present during our stay which is quite normal of course. However all of the wedding guests took over the breakfast room to such an extent we felt that we were intruding. I believe it would have been more sensible to put the wedding guests into a separate room for breakfast allowing the hotels other guests to enjoy their breakfast without a party atmosphere!
Location
Breakfast was disappointing. Have stayed before (3 years ago)and found things had changed.
Warren house hotel is beautiful building in a nice setting
I don’t have any complaints about the property
Adored our Valentin’s package - dinner and stay. Gabriela was so lovely in setting it all up. The staff are so very kind and attentive - the waiter even carried my bag to the table. The hotel is a total wonder - quirky and fascinating. We will definitely be back again to enjoy it in better weather. Thank you so much to the whole team. You are amazing!
Restaurant food was appalling. It is sold on the website as stylish à la carte. We both couldn’t finish the starters. We left. The food; salty, acidic and not nice. I would actually add I wouldn’t expect this quality from a greasy takeaway.
Regarding, complaining about the quality. Spoke to Azaz Ahmed the hotel manager and she wasn’t helpful and actually rude.
Warren Hotel, in the prestigious private estate in Coombe Kingsto, is a lie. Don’t book.
If you think I’m biased in any way, I should point out that if the customer services was good, and the food not good, then I wouldn’t have to bother with this scathing review.
Truly Disappointing
Title: Ruined 20th Anniversary – Misleading Website & Extremely Rude Management
My husband and I booked The Warren Hotel in Kingston upon Thames for dinner on 18th February 2026 to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. It was a last-minute booking, but we carefully reviewed the menu on the website beforehand and felt it looked perfect for a special occasion.
When we arrived, we were shocked to discover that the food being served bore no resemblance to what was advertised online. The website did not clearly state that the restaurant was serving Indian cuisine, sushi or pizza only. It mentioned “Indian influence,” which is very different from being primarily an Indian restaurant. Had we known this, we would not have chosen this venue for such an important celebration — especially as we had eaten Indian food earlier that same week.
We decided to make the best of it and ordered two glasses of Prosecco and starters. However, shortly after the food arrived — which we barely touched — we received an urgent phone call regarding mu husbands Dad and had to leave immediately. We explained this situation to the staff and requested the bill.
Despite barely eating any of the food, we were charged £48. Given the circumstances, we found this extremely disappointing but paid at the time.
The following day, I contacted the hotel to discuss both the misleading website and the charge. I spoke with the manager, Aziza Ahmed. Instead of showing any understanding or empathy, she was dismissive, repeatedly interrupted me, and suggested that it was my fault for not reading the menu properly. When I became distressed and asked to speak to someone more senior, she stated she was the only manager, refused to provide details of anyone above her, told me I was wasting her time, and abruptly ended the call.
The lack of professionalism, accountability and basic courtesy was shocking — especially from someone in a management position. What should have been a special anniversary evening turned into a frustrating and upsetting experience.
I would strongly advise others to double-check what is actually being served before booking and to be aware that customer concerns may not be handled with care or respect.
