Not clean carpet needs replacing

We had stayed here many years ago, and I’m afraid things have declined fairly sharply. FF&E is quite worn, and housekeeping standards appear to have fallen way off. We found rust, hair, and stains of unknown origin on various soft goods.
It’s a shame, because this is still priced towards the higher end of its competitive set, despite being in desperate need of a refresh. If you’re okay with a property that has seen better days, you can stay at the older Hampton next door for a lot less.

Breakfast
Dirty toilet, ripped curtains , lack of bedding ,dirty corridors, some rude staff, shreddie in the sofa bed, water in the lift, no shower gel. Based on my first stay at a hotel we use for our visiting customers I will be changing this from now on as the standard is not good enough.
I thought the staff was great. Very nice and helpful.
Room was a little beat up. Bathroom sink drained extremely slow and that was a little annoying. Also the cleaning staff clearly doesn't clean under the sofa. If you have to use the sofa bed be prepared for the worst sleep of your life. The room definitely could have been cleaner. They should have someone double check the housekeeping. They are doing bare minimum as far as cleaning in my opinion.
Cozy
Cleaners should put more effort cleaning the rooms, you dont expect normally to find other guest belongings behind night stand and when paying 300 per night you dont expect shower head filter to be out of the lifespan spraying water all over the place but not where it should be. Sofa springs creaks and armchair looks like been sprayed with all sort of drinks. Doors creaks. Dust everywhere. Its kind a shame of all Hilton family i as diamond hilton guest been to.
The complimentary breakfast was good.
The phone was broken so we couldn't call for room service extra linens or extra towels. The shower was out of body wash, and when we pulled the sofa bed out there was an unwrapped Twix and wrappers. I made the reservation for 6 people but the room was setup for 4. No linens for the pull out sofa which was the most uncomfortable mattress my sister has ever laid on. She got 2 hrs of slewp according to her fitness watch. We went with this hotel because of the pool as well and it was so overrun that it was dangerous because people were throwing balls and toys excessively. We walked in and a girl got.hit in the face so we turned around and left.
