Pros:

Reminded me of what a hotel could and should be- both elegant and charming. Property restored faithfully in the French ‘hotel peculier’ tradition. Staff were friendly, helpful and fluent in English and French.

Just Lovely!
Pros:

My husband and I travel quite frequently, and enjoy staying in upscale places...in other words, I am very fussy, and we generally avoid historic properties. However we did enjoy staying in the paradores of Spain last year so decided to try the Manoir Maplewood. It did not disappoint: very clean and well kept inside and out, warm yet professional staff, thoughtful amenities such as nespresso coffee maker, refrigerator in rooms, modern bathroom, and soothing cream /white walls as well as furniture which was all tastefully finished in a beige linen fabric. An excellent breakfast was served in a glassed-in porch with sparkling clean windows overlooking the garden.

Charming experience, in beautiful surroundings
Pros:

Most beautiful painstaiking renovation of a Victorian beauty. Everything so well considered & well done, from decor to breakfast. Felt like an escape to Provence! Special!
The Hosts, were helpful & informative.
Great amenities - hot tub, sauna & pool (still in construction)
On the downside: I asked for a room on the lower levels, due to my child's limitations, I was informed on my arrival I could choose between 2 rooms, top floor that caters for dbfsmily & another room on lower floor, yet was not shown the alternative & we landed staying on the uppermost floor with me battling the stairs several times a day!
Inclusive, as other guests were invited to dine at B&B, that evening, we on the other hand ( as I have a special needs child ) were graciously sent into town, (again challenged the 100 or so steps!)
