Perfect location to pick up my daughter from university; dog friendly rooms and lovely walks from the property. Very friendly staff.
Nothing
we went for a Mother’s Day Sunday lunch arrived on time. Saturn ordered our meals. All the meals came out. There was five of us altogether three ofthe meals come out absolutely freezing cold. The other two were not too bad and my daughter and son ate their meal we waited 20 minutes our mail to come back out had to ask numerous times where the meals were. They weren’t much warm when they come out then all the vegetableswere called the gravy was called and my son and daughter had eaten edge and finish them. I went up to complain to the manager she came back and said we will give 50% of your meal. and also send you a voucher to come and eat again I came home on the night and sat and thought about it and absolutely thought it was discussing then received an email to offer 30% off next time we ate this was Mothers Daylunch and we were all supposed to eat together
Breakfast was excellent and plentiful.
Water wasn't hot enough on first morning - when mentioned it was fixed for second morning.
Location was perfect from are family living near by
Accommodated 7 adults and 2 children at short notice for food

The fact the dog was been to feel more than welcome complementary treats and bowl of water without having to ask all staff were excellent with the dog and the food was excellent value for money I we booked this hotel because it was dog friendly and we weren’t disappointed as it was 1st class for been dog friendly would highly recommend and we will certainly book again
Can not think of anything negative to put as we were over the moon with our stay and we would booked again as it was very welcoming
After spending the weekend at this hotel again, cant fault it, staff are incredible, professional, friendly, from The management , bar staff to the lovely ladies taking care of the rooms ..food was well presented , and delious, sunday luch amazing, Breakfast, cooked to perfection..
Rooms have all you need, are clean, and smell fresh.. added bonus the view from our window was over looking the fields where we spotted deer grazing in the mornings.

Location was good for us. Staff friendly and felt clean. Excellent parking right outside room.
Was a little cold even with the heating on constantly. Floors felt tacky to walk on without shoes, bathroom a bit mouldy. Wi-Fi wasn’t stable which was frustrating.
Stayed here many times. It’s a great almost halfway point on our journey to and from Scotland.
Rooms are always comfortable, warm and cosy.

Food choice for vegetarians is limited. There used to be a better selection but our last few stays this has changed.
We had a meal in the bar which was poor,poorly preaented,chips looked as if warmed up in microwave from previous day
When bar staff came to clear table our plates were by no means clear,she didnt ask if everything had been ok and we had to say to her that quality was poor to which she said “right”

A little tired
The Honest Lawyer is situated just back from a busy main road and you don't hear the traffic. There is a calm peaceful atmosphere when you enter and the rooms are spotlessly clean even though there are some improvements going on. We had our wedding reception there and the room was beautifully dressed for the occasion. Staff are friendly and efficient and the prices are perfectly reasonable. We have eaten a few meals there as well as our wedding buffet and everything was properly cooked and presented. We would highly recommend this hotel and Give it 10 out 10
