Lovely place, lovely staff. Helped with many different needs I had.

Empty beach, friendly staff. Food was great. Weather nice.

We loved the property. it was a perfect place to relax with a beautiful empty beach. Stunning views. Helpful staff. Stayed 4 nights. No other bars/restaurants nearby so you must expect to spend most of your time at the property. We did the guided birdwatching trip on the lake which was excellent.
Unfortunately, while we were there, the sea was too rough for swimming and so we made good use of the pool.
Food was good, especially the Sri Lankan dishes. Would have been nice to have a bar area where you could go for a drink before dinner but this is only a minor criticism.

Really nice hotel with really nice people in a really nice location. No complaints, very happy with the service. Everyone was very kind and eager to make our stay enjoyable. What makes or breaks this hotel is location: if you are happy to stay at the hotel and relax in a quiet peaceful setting, then this hotel is for you. If you’re hoping to do some exploring, this place is a bit out of the way.

We stayed here for 2 nights. The area is very remote leading on to a private beach which is great to relax. The rooms are big and finished to a high standard, although it might have been good to have a telephone to call down for any needs. There are only 7 rooms so it has a peaceful feel and the staff are then very attentive. Everything we needed was taken care of and the food here is great!

Great place, all alone on the long beautiful beach. Bird watching was excellent. A few days here is perfect for a calm and relaxed stay, it’s quite far from everything else so I wouldn’t stay a whole week or so. The Sri Lankan/Asian food was good ! Massage was good too.

Thoroughly enjoyable. A very calm, tranquil option which proved clean and very comfortable. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. One night was enough for us, though, as there are limited things to do in the area.

My fiancee and I stayed at Turtle Bay for 13 days in April, and could not have been more happy about our stay.
The most memorable thing about our stay at Turtle Bay is the stunning nature around the hotel. The area is just so beautiful.
The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. No matter where we wanted to go or what we wanted to see, they would arrange everything for us and give us lots of tips on what to do and see.
It was never any problem that I am a vegetarian and they would make special dishes for me without meat or fish.

All in all a perfect holiday in the perfect location. Would recommend to anyone, but especially for couples.
If we are going back to Sri Lanka, we will definitely stay at Turtle Bay again.

Helt fantastiskt hotell med underbar personal!

Turtle Bay est superbement placé en bord de mer, hélas très dangereuse pour la baignade. Il possède une jolie piscine mais :
- aucun éclairage ou presque des abords de la piscine (la nuit tombant brutalement à 18h !)
- une descente d'escalier en béton non sécurisée (et non éclairée le soir) au bord de la piscine. Inadmissible et dangereux ! (Nous l'avons hélas expérimenté à nos dépens)

Des notre arrivée au Turte Bay nous avons été enchanté de constater que tous ce que nous avions lu était vrai : cet hôtel est un havre de paix, calme, au cadre idyllique et au personnel charmant.

Après une déception suite la découverte de notre chambre qui ne correspondait pas à nos attentes et notre réservation, le personnel s’est montré exemplaire et s’est plié en 4 pour que rien ne gâche nos 3 nuits sur place.

Avec un accès direct sur une plage sublime où l’on appréciera de se balader, un jardin charmant, 2 piscines, de multiples transats et beds et des chambres
tout confort avec balcon le Turtle bay ne laisse rien au hasard pour assurer une expérience formidable. Le petit + : le faible nombre de chambre qui facilite la proximité avec un staff absolument charmant et une ambiance des plus relaxantes.

Espérons que les futures constructions et le développement ne viendront pas abîmer ce petit paradis

Totally amazing. We stayed four nights, wished it was ten. Quiet, amazingly friendly and helpful staff ana Management (thank you Chamara, Sarath, Supon and others)

Hotel:
A beautiful bungalow style hotel with maybe 6 room, each of them with a million dollar view of a pristine, private beach and the blue ocean!

Staff:
Each of the staff members seem to genuinely care about you and your time spent at Turtle Bay. They take extra care to ensure that you have your meals on time, that your rooms are cleaned multiple times a day. Can't say enough about them. Amazing, kind-hearted people!

Rooms:
Rooms are HUGE! And comfortable and well-appointed. But the VIEW is the kicker! Unbeatable and going to sleep with the sound of the waves is really priceless.

All of this at an unbeatable price. Part of me didn't want to write this review so that this hidden gem stays that way :) But the folks there deserve more guests and more revenue.

Go to Turtle Bay and you will not regret it!

We loved our stay at turtle bay. We were started to get a bit fed up with Sri Lanka hotels charging lots of money for poor rooms / service, but finally we found a hotel that was worth the price and more! Great service (room cleaned twice daily), great staff, beautiful and quiet location. Wish we stayed longer. Our favourite hotel in Sri Lanka without doubt.

A very nice Hotel with only 7 rooms but a really outstanding service and 'family' concept where the entire staff is striving to make your stay perfect and exceptional. A good place to relax and unwind including a super delicious restaurant. Only thing you have to be aware of, that there is absoultely NO tourism infrastructure around this place! No restaurants, no shops, no nothing! Nearest town is 40 mins. by local transport. But if you're looking for a calm and tranquil place to forget about your daily routine and enjoy some undisturbed you-time, then it's the perfect place for you :-)
