Pros:

Comfortable and clean. Friendly staff and delicious food. The beach was surprisingly uncrowded and clean. Given our visit in late monsoon, there were very few guests and I felt like I had the resort to myself. As with most resorts in India, the difficult part is getting there - long and uncomfortable road trips through unhygienic towns...but once you're there, it's great.

Luxury cottages yards from idyllic beach
Pros:

We stayed as part of a yoga group. Staff were friendly and efficient, and the food was very good. There was a pleasant atmosphere and a feeling of complete safety with unobtrusive security guards keeping away unwelcome strayers from the beach. The pool was lovely.

Pros:

the site of the hotel and landscaping offer so much potential, the staff and service and food let you down 100%
we were the only guests, and i dont know for how long since there were others, fridge in room was off and smelt moldy, the toilet and hose leaked no fan or conditioning in living room where our son was sleeping on a sofa as u didnt supply the bed for him.
a large percentage of the menu was not available, we had three pepsi at dinner and ordered more to be told there was no more for the whole hotel. no review sheet on sign out. sadly your staff and menu and chief were a joke for a hotel of this stature. your gardners and women clearing the section are to be highly commended.

Lovely resort. Almost perfect.
Pros:

Beautiful property, with very friendly helpful staff. Rooms are large & comfortable & furnished very nicely. The only drawback is the food. Breakfast is decent, with the usual eggs, cereal, toast etc. the other meals are a problem. We were looking forward to eating local food especially seafood considering it is a fishing beach, but both the prawn & squid dishes were really bad. Deep-fried & tasteless. The other dishes were quite bad as well, like the noodles, fried rice etc.

It's a shame because the manager in charge of the dining really tried to give us what we were asking for, but I think the chef was the problem. We were eating omelette, fruits & soup by the end of the stay. Also there are no places close by to eat, so you are forced to eat here.
But the property itself is so gorgeous that I would definitely like to return. Hopefully they have a new chef by then.
