nice location
The property is in desperate need of renovation. Many aspects of the property are in poor condition and appear to be falling apart.
The pillows were unusable, and I was unable to sleep comfortably during either night of my stay, waking up with significant neck pain. The mattresses are also very old and excessively soft, making for a very uncomfortable experience.
This property requires immediate attention and substantial investment. It is disappointing to see it in such a state, as it has the potential to be a much better guest experience.
Nice place, comfortable room and fresh breakfast with good coffee
It was beautiful. Very quaint. Takes you back in time. The staff was great
Great location and easy walk into the center of town. Staff were very friendly and courteous. Very quaint and the grounds were lovely. Definitely will be back.
Nothing could’ve been better but people need to be aware of stairs.
Everything was amazing. The facilities are beautiful as well as very comfortable. The sheets are so soft I could have slept my vacation away. We had a window unit A/C in our room and the white noise it provided was perfect. It had so many nice sitting areas to read, visit, and drink wine. The breakfast was huge with lots of choices. Great coffee and tea. They were very accommodating. They carried our heavy luggage from the car all the way to our room! I loved the big front porch with rockers.
The tv in the room is too small, and the remote doesn't work very well. It needs a sound bar, or a better quality tv.
They could also use a better selection of wines and beer. We paid $35 for a bottle of wine that we poured down the drain it was so bad.
A evening "happy hour" at the inn in the summer months would be a great offering. Even if there's a charge for it.
La ubicación
El desayuno con muy poca variedad y muy pobre.
Staff was amazing super friendly. Really cute and historic looking house. Water pressure was really great
Slightly loud. You can really hear your neighbors
Very nice public areas.
The room was super small and uncomfortable. No seating, a bed on the floor, ac next to the bed that ran off and on all night. The building also appears to have black mold on the outside and paint that is peeling. BTW, breakfast was “free” but awful.
Historic summer cottage!
Need coffee in the room.
The hotel was charming, and the employees were friendly.
The lobby smelled like marajuana. Not sure why, because it’s a non-smoking facility.
The property is well positioned and walkable to downtown and Camden Harbor. Friendly, attentive staff. Good breakfast and coffee. Clean and nicely maintained rooms with modern updates throughout the property. It has a storied background as the location where Peyton Place was filmed as well as where American poet Edna St. Vincent Millay was discovered, lending intrigue to the property. We greatly enjoyed sitting on the grand front porch overlooking High Street in the evenings.
I would have given this location 10 Stars had it not been for the bed sheets. I found the synthetic blend to be uncomfortable and unbreathable.
Whitehall is very quaint in a nice location just outside the center of Camden (about 10-15 minute walk). Overall the inn met expectations and the staff were wonderful!
Breakfast was really nice but a couple of things (jam for scones and cheese for croissant, plus ran out of orange juice by 9:15, better fruit selection) could take it above and beyond. Also the fridge in our room was old and super noisy - light sleeper beware it did wake me up several times in the night. They also have window air conditioners which are nice for temp but also noisy. But beds were very comfy and sheets soft - very clean. So don’t want to complain too much.
The hotel is really charming. The rooms are comfortable and the staff is helpful. There are lots of cozy areas to spend quiet time reading, etc.
The weather was cool for late spring and I was disappointed that both the inside fireplace and one of the fire pits were both out of service.
When I entered my room the air conditioner was on full and the room was very cold. I was not taught about where the heater was or how to turn it on. I could also not figure out how to turn the air conditioner off, so I just ended up unplugging it. When I returned to room after housekeeping left, the air conditioner was back on full force and the heater was off again. - frustrating. Because of the cold weather it would have been nice to come into a room that was already warmed up.
La decoració és molt bonica, el llit super còmode
L’esmorzar és molt just però correcte pel que pagues
